I am appalled by the service I received at Honda Umhlanga. I arrived at 6:30 a.m. and was 3rd in line, handed over my keys by 7 a.m., and was assured they would handle a fuel pump recall. I was clear that I did not want a full service, but despite this, they kept my car the entire day. I had to take off work at 12 p.m. just to go pick it up, and by 4 p.m., it still wasn’t fixed. According to my research, a fuel pump recall should take no more than an hour. The incompetence and complete lack of urgency from the staff was unacceptable . The only person who showed any care was a lady with a broken foot. this is the last time I will ever own a Honda. I strongly advise others to avoid this dealership at all costs."

Our experience for honda was honestly the poorest service we have received. We explicitly told them the issues we were experiencing with our car upon arrival for our service. We had booked our car in for a service and to fix two other problems we were experiencing. We did a test drive with the mechanic and he said he knew what the problem was. When we booked the car in we explained Celine that it is urgent as we live 3 hours from Durban and we only booked accommodation for 3 days for the car to be serviced. On day 3 of honda having our car we contacted them to find out when the car would be ready as we were leaving that day and we were told it would be completed by 12-1pm. We got picked up by their driver at 12:30 and was told by Celine the car should be almost ready by the time we arrive at Honda. We got to Honda and sat in the waiting room until 2pm and still no one had come to speak to us about an update on our car. We had to go and ask. We had been dealing with Celine the entire time and not once did she update us on our car but 2 other staff members did I’m not sure of their names but the lady called herself julz and even offered for us to stay in their spare room as we explained we were 3 hours from Durban and our car wasn’t ready. At 3pm we went to ask for an update and only then was it explained to us that there was an issue and the mechanic had to go get parts and will only be back at 4pm. We only got our car after 4:30pm. When the mechanic gave our car back he explained that everything was sorted. We left Honda and drove onto the highway and our car was still giving us the same problem. We called Honda and the mechanic told us the clutch problem will take 2-3days and we needed the car back urgently, but not once was this explained that they problem was not actually fixed and we were driving back 3 hours at night so we asked if the car is safe enough to drive back and his response was “ya you should get back.” We then asked what about after that and he said he can’t promise that it will last. A few days after the service we received a call asking how our experience was and to rate our satisfaction and we explained our situation and how we were not satisfied and were told they would get the manager to contact us and we have still not been contacted. We are now awaiting another bill from another mechanic as honda did not fix the problem which did not actually take 2-3days as they explained. Would not recommend this place to anyone. The only good thing I can say about this place is Julz and her husband who had seen we had been waiting awhile and actually came to give us updates

The service department of Honda Umhlanga is almost nonexistent I purchased a new vehicle in December 2020 and the sales team was fantastic. In 2021 my car went in for its first service and the service team found a pool of water surrounding my spare tyre, with a dry boot liner this was unusual and their ‘thorough’ inspection found no fault 1 year later, the issue persists and suddenly they find the issue, but it’s far worse Water pours out the boot lid, the rear cabin is flooding with water, rust build up on the driver side mirror and all the dealership can do is delay resolving the matter. I’ve had false promises made that the inspection will be done when the car was serviced, panel shop was unexpectedly closed On opening, the issue is forgotten and I have to restart the process The panel shop is called for inspection but again does not turn up Honda SA is not of any help as they require the dealership to resolve this I will never buy another Honda or another vehicle from any CMH brand in my life

Very recently serviced our Honda CRV at Honda Umhlanga. Whilst not inexpensive the service and advice was wonderful. From Adrian our service specialist to Emmanuel the customer care driver, the attention was personalised and timeous. We usually make use of another outlet but CMH Honda, Umhlanga is now the centre of gravity for this car.

I visited CMH HONDA Umhlanga a few days ago to get a RADIO CODE for my Honda Jazz. The code is usually re-set when the battery is replaced . The RECEPTION DESK handled the QUERY admirably . The VIN no was forwared to HONDA HEAD OFFICE and the code was forwared to me the following day via an SMS . The matter was resolved . To the guys on the RECEPTION DESK , thank you greatly for your competence . YOUR DEDICATION TO DUTY HAS NOT GONE UNNOTICED. Keep up the GREAT WORK .

It is very unfortunate that I am having to take this step, but I have been given a run around by CMH Peugeot Umhlanga regarding my Peugeot model 3008 and after many months of having taken a patient and reasonable approach, I am absolutely done now. I purchased a brand new Peugeot model 3008 some 4 years ago, towards the latter part of 2018, and shortly thereafter another model 2008 for the family. The warranties expired after 3 years, but since then the model 3008 car has virtually permanently been parked at CMH Peugeot in Umhlanga with engine issues, despite it having only about 25,000 kilometers on the clock (due to Covid it hadnt been driven much). I was advised that I would need to order some special parts and finally received the quotation in my email on the 23rd 2022 (the quote is dated 4th April), to the value of R50,858.76 (+/- €3000), which I reluctantly agreed to, and so I duly paid and sent proof of payment to CMH Umhlanga on the 25th May. The parts arrived about 4 weeks later, and actually earlier than scheduled. I have since then been to the service station in person so many times that I lost count. I have also phoned endless times. And every time empty promises were made. The car would be ready by this and this day, etc etc. Not once, not twice, but many many times. Too many to count. I have had to go overseas 3 weeks ago and thus followed up by email which has been totally ignored. I hence requested my brother in law to go to CMH Peugeot Umhlanga service station on Monday 12th and again, the promise was made that the car would be ready by Friday 16th. Again, no call nothing from CMH on Friday. So I requested my sister to call in again to enquire about the readiness of the car today, yet she was advised today that it wasnt ready because of loadshedding and another week was required to finalize repairs. It's enough now. I am deeply disappointed with the car and even more so with the service station CMH Peugeot Umhlanga. I deeply regret having purchased these two Peugeots. Besides not being able to use the Peugeot model 3008 for about a year now, it has cost me expensive services with CMH Umhlanga as well as the attached quote, plus the monthly car repayments to the bank. I just want out. This car is absolute junk and having to deal with Peugeot Umhlanga has been unbelievably frustrating. I want to be refunded for the Rand 50,858-76 for the parts and I want Peugeot to take the car back so I can get out of the finance agreement with the bank. I just want out! I hate having to take to social media like this, as I am also in the service industry and in general dont like it when people use social media as a weapon, instead of trying to solve problems together. However, I have been patient for many many many months now and there is absolutely no willingness on CMH Peugeot Umhlanga's part to resolve this issue with me in an open and transparent way. I am being lied to and taken advantage of on a level I have not ever experienced before. It's enough!
