This collection agency has demonstrated completely unacceptable business practices. Despite being properly notified that I am working with a debt counselor and providing documented proof of this arrangement, they have continued their harassment campaign. Their violations include: - Excessive contact through multiple channels (phone calls, texts, emails) after being told to cease - Continuing collection activities after receiving notification of debt counseling representation - Sending contradictory communications, including thanking me for payments that were never made - Complete disregard for proper debt collection procedures. This behavior appears to violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), which prohibits harassment and requires collectors to respect third-party representation. Their unprofessional conduct, including the bizarre "thank you for payment" message for non-existent payments, shows a concerning lack of basic competency. I strongly advise others to document all interactions with this agency and know your rights under the FDCPA. No one should have to endure this level of unprofessional harassment. **Recommendation: Avoid at all costs. Seek legitimate debt resolution services elsewhere.**

I have settled my account with them, but they threaten to default me, I spoke to 2 agents that said they will allocate my funds and that they see that the money has been paid, but still I get threatened, they ask me for proof of payment, but when I sent it, no one responds, and they continue with the harassment. UNIFI should get better debt collectors, it seems like they are *****ing the money they are supposed to pay to unifi

I paid off R3000 mid June that they acknowledged towards my Unify Cobol account that was handed over to Colecta. They EMAIL ME EVERY DAY... Threatening me. Phoning to my work and 100 times to my cellphone and when I answer the phone call just drops. So annoying I had to block them. I kept responding telling them that I did pay they need to stop mailing me. I decided to request a delivery and read receipt on my mail response.... few minutes later I got notified my mail was deleted without being read. I sure as hell hope that I am not being charged for these dropped calls and constant emails!!!

I have a loan of Cobol that I'm paying through Colecta and have been from R6800 now it's around R1300 and have paid R500 yesterday but still getting threatening calls that I'm gonna be handed over.I took a loan from Cobol but could meet the monthly payments and was referred to Colecta for payment arrangement and have honored those payments except for April because I requested a statement and was never to me. My Credit Record still shows I owe them R6800 even though now it's less than R900 but still threatened of lawyers.
