My two NP 200s went in for minor damage repairs at Contact Panel Beaters in Noordhoek. The damage was repaired satisfactorily and any issues or concerns raisef by me after the fact was addressed promptly. I was constantly updated regarded the progress on my vehicles. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I did however point out to them that the cleaning of the vehicles could be a process for improvement

Don't ever use this company to repair your vehicle! I took my car in to have the bumper replaced. Small job. They took 3 weeks to complete it. Somebody must have been driving it as there was extra 30km on the clock when I collected it. It was stripped of old parts on the second day then stood outside in the wind and rain for 3 weeks. Spent 5 days at the neighboring mechanical workshop to have the brakes checked (which takes 1 hour). Upon collection my digital radio clock was reading "0000" and the dealership is unable to reset it. error message comes up. Also my digital time was changed. There was a new whining sound coming from the front left bonnet. I took it back to them and Jonathan, the manager, said it sounded like a power steering whine. He must have heard it when test driving it but never mentioned it to me. I wonder why.... hoping I wouldn't notice it. There was also a plastic cover front left missing from the underside of the car. He'd been waiting for this part for a week already but clearly decided to hand my car over without it., assuming I would never do a check under the car. There was still spray paint in places they didn't bother to clean off. The 2nd hand bumper piece that they replaced and resprayed had a chip in it and masking tape lines. It was clearly a rushed shabby job. When I queried the use of 2nd hand parts as opposed to new ones, he told me my insurance company requested this. He then backtracked in his follow up email saying that he had used new parts. I've had my car assessed by the dealership who confirmed the power steering pump has ceased. It was NOT ceased when my car arrived there. 2 days after collecting it my battery went completely dead. I had to replace this. I followed up with my insurance company which took me another 5 weeks to conclude. I was without my vehicle for 8 weeks in total as I was advised not to drive it. This was realistically a 2day job which they dragged out for 3 weeks

I just had my Renault repaired after quite a bad accident. The parts from Renault took a while to get here and Jonathan called every week to keep me informed. Once the parts arrived the job was done quickly and efficiently. The staff were all very friendly and kept in contact with me as the job progressed. The Kangoo looked like new when I picked it up so all in all a very good experience.

My vehicle went in to Contact Panel Beaters, in Noordhoek, for 2 minor scratches, one on each back door.

The vehicle was booked in for 1 week, however, today is week 13, and I have just collected the vehicle from another Panel Beater, who was nominated to rectify the roughly estimated R40 000 in damages caused by Contact Panel Beaters.

Firstly, Contact had a problem with silicone inside the vehicle from the valet. They had the audacity to say I have to have the vehicle re-valeted to get rid of the silicone. The first spray job caused orange peel and major holes & pin holes. As I was not satisfied, they continued to spray the vehicle 7 TIMES. They said they had to blend the paintwork, which resulted in damaging ALL other panels - which WERE perfect when the vehicle went in to the workshop.

Removed panels / parts were clearly not stored properly as one of the door mouldings were so scratched and I was told - 'Oh this was already like this' - but on my next return it had been disasterously sprayed to cover up the damage. And it was a completely different colour to the other 3 door mouldings.

Not forgetting, I was contacted 7 times to say the car is ready to be collected, with no obvious quality control or checking taking place prior to my inspection(s).

My insurance appointed a mobile assessor to asses the vehicle and it was also inspected by a paint specialist who confirmed the spray job was NOT up to standard.

I no doubt refused the offer to have it repaired by Contact Again, they even said they would purchase the vehicle from me :)

Numerous panel beaters were contacted & 2 came to inspect the vehicle, but only 1 would take on the mammoth repair task.

I can highly recommend D & P Auto Body Works, in Retreat. These people can give Contact Panel Beaters a lesson in how to manage clients and how to do an immaculate job, first time round. No lies, no decpetion, just Quality Assured from the onset.

What a 13 week NIGHTMARE! - Don't make the same mistake I did, closer to home is not always better!
