I bought 5000 ROK bricks at Builders Cape Gate branch last week and received allot of broken bricks. I complaint at the call centre and also went into the store to send some pictures and videos of the damaged bricks. They were shocked to see the amount of bricks that were damaged and said they will report it to Corobrick so someone can come inspect. I paid for each brick!! I want a refund as I had to buy more bricks over the weekend. What poor quality products are you producing??

Extremely poor policy which does not favour the client at all. I had a terrible experience and financial loss with Corobrik Middelburg. I ordered and paid for a large quantity of bricks needed for a project I was busy with. Upon delivery and usage of the bricks I discovered a significant number of bricks broken at the bottom of the Pilate. I immediately took pictures of the defective bricks (which couldn’t be used) and sent it to their manager in which I was expecting him to handle the situation with sound and wise understanding. To my dismay, he eluded to informing me that the broken bricks will not be compensated for nor replaced by them. When I asked the reasons or when I tried explaining how this compromised and inconvenienced my project - he mentioned a well trained answer of reading off their lousy policy without considering me as a client. In short, I paid for bricks which were broken and could not be used to build with and they were happy to not expedite the matter nor even consider my loss as a potential and first time client of theirs. Based on this experience I will not conduct business with Corobrik Middelburg ever again!

I am really disappointed with the quality of the bricks from Corobrick. I paid for the bricks like a year in advance then was unable to take delivery due to other commitments. The salesman at the Clayville branch gave me a run around and eventually the Branch manager, Magda stepped in and assisted me to sort the missing invoice. Then the manager came past my house with samples to match my existing bricks on building and she did this at least three times and finally managed to get the correct colours and texture. She then arranged delivery and the bricks arrived with outsourced transport company. I immediately noticed that the bricks was not shrink-wrapped and not palletized and visible damages were evident. I immediately called the Branch manager to inform and she explained that if there is more than 5% defects and damages then she will arrange replacement. I agreed with here because I built a trust relationship as customer. Sadly with Covid pandemic everything came to standstill and bricks stayed in safe location unused.I started the building work with NHBRC builder and I had to remove part of the wall he built twice each day I came home from work. He showed me all the colour defects, size defects, chipped bricks and warped like banana bricks. We are currently building and I am staying at home doing brick selection to ensure we don’t break and remove wall for the third time. I am very unhappy with Corobrik quality and the scam system they are using by putting good bricks on the top of and sides of the strap tied batches so that neither the customer nor the Branch Manager can see the defects until they actually need the bricks and are busy with construction which is too late. I have started making my own stack of defective and damaged bricks and will want a refund and replacement for the loss of money, workers pay days, construction time, cement and sand loss for rework. The wall has to go up due to security risk so we are using the best possible bricks we can find but this is delaying the work to almost twice the days allowed for building. I restate my comment that this is not a Branch Manager problem, since Magda has been truthful and honest with all engagements and I cannot place responsibility on her for the Scam and fraudulent actions of the other staff at Corobrik. I trust a Senior Exec or Board member involved in ethics and compliance will intervene to rectify the reputational damages and provide appropriate restitution. Naresh

I am very disappointed with the service we received from Corobrik in Olifantsfontein. We bought bricks on the 2nd of May and were told that delivery would be the next day on the 03rd, unfortunately they were only delivered yesterday and when the delivery guy arrived, he said the delivery fee is R540. Firstly, the guy who was assisting us with the purchase promised we would get a phone call confirming the delivery and the fee, no1 called and yesterday the delivery arrived and found my mother at home, we had no agreement yet they demanded charged R540 from my mother. It really is a shock that ur conditions of sale state the delivery fee is agreed upon by the purchaser and corobrik. Secondly, why does it cost so much to deliver from Olifantsfontein to Ivory Park? Ivory park is like 15 min away from Olifantsfontein. Corobrik is not transparent with its customers, this is the reason we weren't told the price upfront.. We would hv arranged our own transport at Half the ridiculous amount charged for delivery, they dont even answer their phones. I will never make use of ur services again.

Corobrik JHB, Midrand and Olifantsfontein couldn't assist me with any of my queries, because it related to a product manufactured in Cape Town. These centers are supposedly NATIONAL, with a national product/ service supply. Irrespective of where the bricks are made, or having to pay for transport, they should still be able to assist. Thank you Sharon, at the Stellenbosch office for your trouble. Even though I phoned from JHB, you still treated me like a prospective client and answered all my questions with in depth added information. Much appreciated.
