I ordered from Mr Delivery. Perfect service - although they should know better than to deliver their food. The lamb knuckle seemed boiled rather than anything else - that skin was NOT grilled. Tasteless. The gravy was NOT anything except Bisto - lumpy and tasteless to say the least. The baked potato was nothing of the sort - a boiled, tasteless potato wrapped in foil. The spinach was the only thing worth eating. The mash was lumpy and tasteless. Thank you for spoiling my anniversary. NEVER again. I could have made a better meal at home.

- I've never eaten a burger that was so terrible before it was the smoke house, the patty tasted so cheap like those cheap box burgers burnt on the outside but raw on the inside, the onion rings crispy but the onions were still alive on the inside the bun was oily like they toasted the bun in a oil pan I've honestly never had a burger as bad as that one and the price being R129 was definitely not worth it. Don't waste your money there

The best dinner I ever had in Gqeberha. Their flame grilled wings was off the cliff. Better than finger licking good. The grilled Karoo Lamb chops was another winner. Overall, an amazing dinner overall

I'm really dissapointed to see how head of management treat staff, and swear and scream at them at a place where you are suppose to enjoy youre meal. And its shocking to see that they get less that R.8 an hour. R.1200 a month! For 6 days a week! Disgusting!

I have been dropping in @ De Kelder Plattekloof Restaurant & Pub for more than 10years. The ultimate humiliation (apart from very slow service @ times with bartenders having a group discussion rather than serving Clientele and pub burgers lacking compared to other pubs) happened on Thu 19Nov'20. The African bartender simply humiliated me by saying i cannot get a drink, I'm banned, i must go. (just short of voetsek). The Manager on duty @ the time knew NOTHING about any incident. The incident: I accidentally took the person next to me's car keys about 2x weeks prior. A terrible mistake (i must have mistaken it for my home remote), i returned the key later the next morning when they called me from DeKelder. I gave the person R100 & profusely appologised. He didn't want to talk further. Later he sent me a whatsap claiming it cost him R2300 to get into his car & house. I again appologised & said I will re-imburse him, if he can send me the invoice. The person replied 'pay me another R600 and the matter is settled, on which i did a FNB eWallet transfer & thought it's all OK now. Hours later another whatsapp came in, the same person asking for another R250. I said I don't understand now: he said it's settled. it did feel as if he was with friends @ DK, but i don't know for sure. A week later i got another whatsap from him, again asking for R150, but this time a loan which he will repay. I said I'm not a ATM and cannot loan him money. I then blocked the contact. With this in mind, a matter settled between me and another customer of DeKelder with financial payment (and he never furnished invoices), WHY does a african bartender think he makes the call who's banned? If it was SO CRITICAL, why was other Managers not informed. The manager on duty just ran to the same bartender to find out what happened. Does he run the Restaurant now and is this what these guys make of settlements between people. They did not ask my side of the story and simply banned me without any questions towards me. So in a way say my payments mean nothing and him not furnishing invoices are just fine. This restaurant was WAY nicer years ago before their latest revamp. I think a stern warning to the bartender and much better communication between Managers on duty is something much needed here.
