The people here are rude, have no manners and are always in a bad mood. The log cabin we were put in smelled **********. We could not even eat or drink anything in there because of the smell. My skin broke out after having slept on those pillows. The restaurant staff had a horrible attitude towards my family and I and their service was even worse. For Eg, we ordered avo on toast, three other families came after us and ordered big breakfasts, and got their meals before us, when we inquired about our food, they brough out soggy bread (not toasted) with avo smeared on - the avo was mixed with cream cheese - my mom is vegan. We were not told about the mixing, nor did it say it anywhere on the menu. The receptionists were quite rude as well. We greeted them when we passed by and they did not acknowledge us at all. Poor, Poor, Poor service. My family and I were made to feel uncomfortable the whole time. Will never recommend.

We booked camping site with a private ablution. Whilst the ablution is nice, it is situated very close to the Resort's entrance boom gate. This seems to be a meeting place for staff and friends from early morning until end of day. Around 7 am to 8.30 am it sounds like a market / shebeen and the same again around 5pm. very disappointing !!!

Camping at Dragon Peaks Mountain Resort this December 2024 was one huge disappointment. Arriving at our stand, the grass was not cut, looked like we arrived in the veld. There was no dustbin, no braai and the electricity not working – I fixed it because they were too busy. My wife went back to reception because we realised we were overcharged. They refused to reimburse us and forced a voucher for the restaurant on us with the promise, that when we leave, any monies outstanding will be refunded. When we were leaving, they then changed their story and once again refused to refund us. Management is obviously as far as we are concerned, ****s, ****mers, money grabbers and not trustworthy. In the bathrooms there is total lack of maintenance. The one shower out of the three, the door cannot close, and the other one the water did not drain away. In the basin brushing your teeth, the water also did not drain away. Not once was there hot water to wash the dishes with, only lukewarm water. We rate Dragon Peaks as a dump! I would not recommend going there, unless you are desperate.

AVOID AT ALL COST! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! We stayed at the resort for 3 nights and where to begin. 1.I was bitten by BED BUGS all over my body!!! This is absolutely atrocious considering this is not a cheap accommodation. 2. The lakes are in a revolting state. 3. After we paid for the canoes, we got soaked as the plugs are all missing. When we told the receptionist, she just "they must be all ******". No refund, nothing! 4. The hikes are really poorly marked. To top it all off, we emailed our concerns to and THEY HAVE NOT BOTHERED EVEN REPLYING! DISGUSTING!!!! It is a pity as the surrounds are unreal. AVOID AT ALL COST!

We booked and paid for a Park Home Unit on the 12th June 2023. Booking dates 16 June to 19 June 2023. Anke was the lady assisting us in booking. She assured us that it is a clean unit as the booking was for our children with a 2 and 1 year old. We arrived at our unit and it was nothing like the photos on the website. The rooms were extremely small. The double bed just fitted in the one room. Not enough space to walk around to the other side of the bed. Only a bath and no shower as promised in the booking. The carpet in the room with the TV was dark. Only when the 1 year old crawled on it and his hands and clothes were black was it obvious why the carpet was black. In other words DIRTY. Needless to say we did not unpack and left to find other accommodation. They refused to refund us as the policy is NON-REFUNDABLE. At R1100.00 per night to sleep it is a total rip-off. I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

I requested accommodation for 3 days at the end of December, which was available, but was told I could not book because a minimum of 5 nights was required. I do not want 5 nights accommodation. So they would rather have empty rooms than 3 nights worth guests.
