DURBAN PANEL BEATERS - Shocking, shocking, shocking. That any insurance company will use them as a preferred provider is shocking. A truck (sewage / water truck) knocked me into a water run-off gully on the M13 on 4 December 2023. The impact as you can imagine form the truck versus my car was severe. It knocked me so hard that my vehicle tipped. Fortunately, it did not roll. Durban Panel beaters kept my vehicle until February 2024. I had to constantly follow up. With the same old reasons why, the vehicle is not being repaired quicker. Let me also mention the assessor, did not pick up mechanical damage to my vehicle and the under-carriage damage to my car. One then needs to investigate the relationship between the insurance company and the assessor. The only parts replaced on my vehicle was: front bumper, right front side panel, right front light, two pumps. Now if the pumps were damaged, does it not stand to reason that mechanical damage occurred? When I collected my vehicle, I started getting “hillside assist” not available, at one point all the light went off on my dash while I was driving. Damage to the vehicle underneath. Oh hang on! when my vehicle was checked by FORD, they found my Clear view out of alignment (this my friends relate to my ABS). They found shock damage, sc****d under carriage, splash cover was not replaced (parts being left off my vehicle). Durban Panel beaters turned around and said there was no splash cover… The car is in an accident, and they will use that? I complained constantly. I took my vehicle back to them on 14 June 2024 to replace the missing splash cover and find the alarms that are coming and going. – NADA!!! It is 26 Friday July 2024, and I still do not have my vehicle back (with all the repairs and parts redone and replaced). I have huge trust issues with the Panel beater. Not trustworthy. They lie and stall. Leave parts off one’s vehicle and simple do not communicate at all. They should not be on any insurance company or Dealership approved list of preferred provider.

Our vehicle has been with them for almost 6 weeks due to them causing electrical damage during a repair to the doors. They never reply to email and if you call them they are always unavailable. They caused the electrical damage but originally wanted to try and claim the costs from my insurance for their mistake. Now we are still waiting and we have no timeline or any feedback on parts that were supposed to have been ordered a week ago in order for the vehicle to go to a auto electrician to fix their mistake.

These people are absolutely **********, my car has been there for almost 2 weeks for minor damage and I am meant to be moving to Johannesburg on Friday I still have not received my car !! Everytime I phone them they have a new excuse. Sadly insurance companies like Discovery ,Momentum and Budget continue to use them and inconvenience their clients !!!!

Pathetic service received. If you plan on taking your car there or if your insurance company wants to send it there, tell them NO. Rather take it to someone reputable. Stay away from these guys. I had endless hassles and still do but when I call the manager he does not answer. My car was sent to them by discivery after someone knocked into me. I had to constantly call for updates and initially told them to check all the wheels if there are any buckles and sort them out one time as one wheel was being rep9from the accident. I received the car to find 1 seat badge missing, rear stepsill loose. Car had a terrible vibration at 80kph and was not there prior to the accident. Massive gap between tail light and boot lid, side skirt not aligned, overspray on b pillars etc. So after alot of back and forth the car went back to them. The dashcam was unplugged, car was driver at 135kph captured by the dq track, my brand new spare tyre was replaced by a used on in my boot. They have not replaced the seat badge as well as denied repairing the other 3 rims. While driving I heard a noise on the wheel, to my horror 2 wheeelnuts were missing and the rest were loose. How dangerous is this... Where is the QA inspection. Stay away from them. I had to but 2 new wheel nut and caps from vw. Now I have to repair 3 rims that should have been repaired by them.
