We ordered and bought "Boerseep", and was asked to go and pick it up at Schroderhuis. We stood outside for several minutes with no-one coming to assist us. When we called and asked them to let us in a lady came to gate and stood talking to us through the gate for nearly half an hour (apparently unaware of the transaction). She kept us standing in the hot sun without ever opening the gate to atleast offer us some shade while the issue was being addressed. We were called late in the day and asked to fetch the soap. The same situation happened again. After the second time that very same lady called again and asked us to fetch the soap. When my dad asked her to cancel the transaction, she stated "well, the soap is going to lie here and your must make a plan to come and fetch it (making it clear they would not be giving us our money back). I highly doubt that they would have treated us so badly if skin tones were lighter. Very rude.

These people are lying about availability, take people's money and don't care after. I made a booking through booking,com my money was deducted and they had no available rooms. They are situated in cape town South Africa. Watch out they will leave you stranded with no worries and you have no where to go. Jacobus du Plessis

Our stay there was so so unpleasant. The owner was so cold towards us. She came by Friday n a few moments she was gone. She instructed her stuff to give us 1tissues for 3 days. The breakfast was horrible. To top it all her daughter was so disrespectful with s nasty attitude. I will never recommend it to any1. All they do is tidy up the rooms not cleaning Owner improve ur services n appreciate ur clients.

Unfortunately needed to cancel booking 25 days in advance ending in a refund dispute where Elizabeth Guesthouse only offered to refund 25% of full payment made. Dispute was reported to South African Tourism Board and according to response received from the Tourism Board the Elizabeth Guesthouse has have not responded to the Tourism Board who required a response within 7 days. Cannot recommend them at all.

We booked and paid for 2 nights accommodation for 8 people on the 14/09/2021, the manager confirmed telephonically that they had received the POP and all was in order. Book in date was for the long weekend of the 24th September. We drove 6hrs from Ellisras to Kroonstad where we were confronted with a locked gate and all staff hiding inside, the police were called and a case of fraud has been opened. They alleged that the payment was made into a wrong account, however the POP they showed us and the police officer was clearly forged with another bank account number. The invoice they emailed us for the payment had the bank account number that we paid into yet their forged POP had another number superimposed onto it!! Don’t get caught like us, DO NOT book and pay for accommodation at The Elizabeth Guest house in Kroonstad, you will be scammed!!

2021 19:40 Currently staying here for a week. Regretted it from the moment I checked in yesterday. No clear sign of a Reception. You get inside and reception is the kitchen. Unwelcoming managing staff, especially the girl with dreadlocks that seems to be running the establishment. There was an issue with my bookings - their fault and she had an attitude and didn't even apologize for the mistake they made, she just gave me this annoyed look and walked away after swearing at the staff in front of me. I'm inside the house and it's noisy until late in the night. Doors banging, kitchen noise, the works. Their communication regarding meal times and arrangements sucks. You ask for something - an iron in this case and just wait with no feedback and no iron. Thank goodness I'm here on a work trip otherwise I would never stay here again. The beautiful rooms, don't make up for the horrible reception and service.
