We had over first overseas trip, I chose Emirates thinking it is a reputable airline, but I am so disappointed with our experience we flew JHB - DUBAI - BANGKOK going there and returning was not a pleasant experience. I have sent an official complaint when I followed up after a week I was told they have 21 days to respond. From flying in a VERY old aircraft where things don't work properly to not getting food an airhostess who was not up to standard in passenger care. My brand new suitcase broken. Don't think because you pay more you get more that is not the case!

Emirates and OR Tambo International airport are the worst combo i ever come across. I have no idea how much money and time i have wasted trying to track missing, which has been missing since November by the way. After waiting for a whole month they sent my bag to the wrong destination. Now I am told it is in my country, in my city, yet no one can tell me which airline to fetch it at. God bless their sweet hearts at Airlink, they assisted me as best as they could. JUST SAY YOU LOST THE BAG AND STOP FEEDING ME LIES!

Last week my daughter flew Emirates from Durban to Dubai and then on to Dublin (Flights EK776 and EK161) . She became very ill during the Dubai leg . The care and attention from the cabin crew until they landed , and then from the doctor in Dubai who put her on a drip was fantastic . This continued on the next flight to Ireland until she was safely in the airport terminal . Emirates you are excellent , you set the highest standards in air travel , we have always enjoyed flying with you but never imagined how well you help a passenger who is in trouble ! Thank you again .

I was supposed to fly to Albania from Cape Town. All the regulations state that south africans with a valid USA visa can enter Albania. I got to the airport and couldn't enter. I showed them all the documents that state clearly that we can enter with a valid USA visa . Apparently it is not on the system that with a USA visa we are allowed to enter. My brother having the same documents I have could enter Albania from America. I lost almost R10 000 that Emirates refuse to pay back. Their systems are not updated at the airport. I lost all the accommodation bookings I already made and bus tickets. Emirates' systems are not updated. I'll rethink using the airline ever again

I started making enquiries to Emirates Holidays in SA and because of the sum of money to be spent for a 2 week holiday i had a couple of enquiries and followups to my initial request for a quotation. After contacting Emirates Global to follow up as to why the agent hasnt bothered responding to my enquiries for booking they said its in the hands of SA Emirates Office and they cannot help. I emailed global again asking them to please refer this matter to SA office so that my booking isnt delayed. Its now about a month and still no moving forward. Ive emailed again now and hoping for a response..... DOnt get me wrong i have flown more than enough on EMirates to always come back but this is not "Okay"

I booked my flight from booking.com with SAA operated by Emirates Airlines. I suffer with anxiety when flying and selected seats for this reason when paying for my flight only to find out when checking in they were changed. I contacted emirates who said there is nothing they can do. Should I have a panic attack I will definitely be suing the airline as I had informed them of the reason for booking those seats. I am appalled by the service honestly and will share this on all social media

On a recent trip from Dallas to Johannesburg via Dubai, my suitcase was broken into and items ****** from the case. On arrival at OR Tambo, I went over to the counter to report this, there was no one manning the counter. I then went back to the carousel and spoke to an Emirates woman who was offloading the crews cases (she was probable also supposed to be manning the counter)... I got the ignore and told to report it online, which I did... I have since been messed around by two agents, logged numeorus emails... and still no closer to resolving this issue...

My wife traveled from Johannesburg to ****et via Dubai on 24th April. Her 2 suitcases were wrapped at OR Tambo. When she unwrapped the suitcase in ****et, she called me to advise that one suitcase was badly damaged (now broken) & the second new Samsonite is missing wheels. We contacted Emirates was advised to communicate via their website. I went onto their website & filled out the complaint form. Received an email confirming our receipt of our complaint. Since then we have heard NOTHING! I have called the local office on numerous occasions & all they do is say we must go & buy new cases & MIGHT have a claim. UNACCETABLE!!! My wife is travelling with two broken suitcases. We did not budget to replace two expensive suitcases on her trip.
