I used to work part time in the entertainment industry @ Zalebs.com, an entertainment website dedicated to reviewing and following the lives of celebrities. I would interview celebs, write articles and post about their daily lives and what they get up to. Studied my diploma in Journalism and Media at Damelin Braamfontein for 4 years. I've always had a passion in working in anything media related, and more in the Broadcast or Social Media space rather than in print. I have a passion for writing and interaction with people, So my time in Zalebs was an amazing time because media is what I've always been fond of. In this industry before you think of venturing in it, it will need you to have passion for it, have the drive, determination to be dedicated and ofcourse be a people person because there is just no way you'll enter into.. or survive it. Media as a whole does have money, as long as you work hard. Many think and will tell you that you'd rather study for other fields because there is or lack of money here, however they do really know that you can make it here and survive on media, whether it's working for an entertainment website like I did, being a journalist, a reporter, in broadcast or even in print. You certainly have to study anything media related (at Varsity or College) to even thing about being in the media game. It's tough surviving on this industry, but as I said, if you have passion and drive, you will achieve a lot of things and rip the rewards.

I purchased tickets online on Quicket for the Bollywood Big Five concert. Only to be sent a SMS that the concert is been moved from June to August then again, a SMS that it was canceled and that we should email our banking details to be refunded. It's been 3 months no refund has been done. When I contacted Quicket I was told they have nothing to do with the show and must contact the organizes, when tried calling the number given it goes to voicemail. How many people have believed and got ****med. Wonder will I ever be refunded.

Hi so I would like to make a review on this show that is on 173 Honey dstv. My name is Winile Mavimbela, me and my sister wrote to a cooking show called 7 colours on the channel 173. We got a positive response we had to shoot on the 17 and the 18, well me and sister won the competition and there is a R5000 price they were supposed to pay us. Their assistant that I was speaking to on the phone before the shoot said they make a payout at the end of the show. On that day a lady called Lydia told us to send proof of banking to the production manager Gcina of which that lady confirmed payment will be made last day of the month. The lady Lydia just sent a text today telling me there will be no payment made today but in 30 days time of which sends out **** vibes to me and my sister. The lady did not respond to my questions when I asked her why is that and why was that not communicated with us before the show. Can Hello Peter please help us get real information about this and expose them if they are a ****.

I contacted dtsv this morning and spoke to nokololeko, she informed me what I had to do to return one of the direct deposits back to me. I emailed and telephoned dstv numerous times during the day. The last person I spoke to was yizo at about 3.25pm..its close of business and I haven't had the courtesy of a reply. Is this the disgraceful, pathetic people you hire to represent Koos Bekkers Company. Shameful

I bought tickets through Quicket These tickets are not refundable However Quicket offers “REFUND PROTECT” I paid for this “protection” The reason for purchasing the tickets for the Slapstick was to treat my children and grandchildren who were coming from the UK Due to the new travel restrictions they cannot come and all accommodation reservations have been refunded REFUND PROTECT offer no Terms and Conditions on the Quicket booking site that I could see. Only a box to tick I have sent copies of the Air Tickets and whatever documents they requested. However Pandemics/Covid are not covered for return of monies In other words it’s a scam and Quicket should NOT offer the option of customers paying extra for “protecting the refund”
