I bought a stove, I couldn’t fit it in my kitchen. I returned it within the 7 days they told me about. I wanted an exchange for a smaller stove. They told me wait for their boss and I waited for more than 45min. I had to leave cause I couldn’t wait any longer. The staff working there has attitude…. I don’t recommend anyone to buy anything from this shop. Rather go to proper shops like Game or Makro. It’s better to pay more than being treated like ****. I repeat, don’t you dare go to this place and stuff drinks alcohol while selling

Extremely poor service received from the staff at Furniture King Riverside. I purchased a new hisense fridge from the salesman Rodney who i informed after about a month that the the fridge was leaking, the fridge come with a 4 year warranty and i was advised the turn around time is 3 to 5 days. Due to an error from the furniture king staff member Michelle the wrong contact number was provided to Hisense. Its now going on 2 weeks as the complaint was laid on the 19th of February 2022 and till date my fridge has not been repaired or replaced. Their staff are extremely inconsiderate as i informed them my kitchen cupboards are getting damaged due to the water leaking, i have been constantly follow up with them. I shall now be exercising my right with regards to the consumer protection act.

I recently bought a tv cash from Bargain City ( The Furniture King ) in Kent Rd Durban near Game City. After 3 days the LCD tv starting squirting water out the bottom. I returned the tv and after 2 weeks was told that there was moisture in the tv ( obviously ) and they insinuated I poured water in the tv and therefore was no warranty. I feel done in after spending so much money on a tv I have'nt watched for more than 3 hours. I have looked on youtube and water coming out of LCD tv's is quiet common. Also the tv has a nipple underneath where the water squirted from. They must have expected water build-up. I feel absolutely done in.

Steer clear from Furniture King in Umgeni Road and - Durban . In my experience, the manager - Marvin, conducts business in an underhanded manner and the goods are over priced. They offer damaged goods at a fraction cheaper than brand new items. On 11/02/2015 I phoned Furniture King to see if they have demo chest freezers for sale. An employee ('Shoes') told me they have one, and I can come collect on Sat. Marvin (manager) then contacted me and I was told If I don't collect the fridge by the following day lunchtime , he is selling it to another customer, even though I was the first to enquire and told to collect Sat! This is nothing short of blackmailing a customer! When I told him this, he blamed his employee and said the employee had his facts wrong, they deal on a 'first come first serve basis' . The customer is not liable for poor management!, besides the fact that this 'blackmail' business conduct of Marvin is unethical. I then offered to do an immediate eft with proof of payment, which was still not good enough for him. Marvin proceeded to be rude and arrogant. He conducts business in a very cunning way and treats customers like dirt for overpriced goods.
