What started out as a very good experience was quickly overshadowed when i received an invoice for R 3900 after the installers used the remaining paint left in 6 old spray cans to spray the flue . This "spray service" using left over spray from other clients was equivalent to 10% of the entire cost to install the fireplace .ABSOLUTE ABSOLUTE ******* . i have had no further correspondence and I am still waiting on my refund that is owed.

Super professional from Sales to Installers. We bought an Earthfire ceramic stove which is made when ordered so it took a few weeks. Absolutely worth the wait. Thank you very much for an all over great experience.

I ordered a heater from GC Fires on the 27th of January 2023 and since then, there has been zero communication from their side. I had to contact them about my order, still and they do not reply to emails. This is very poor service from them.

Honestly, this is the most frustrating business to deal with when it comes to after-sales service. All we want is a quote for repairs on a unit that GC Fires installed for us over 3 years ago. The receptionist gave us a Whatsapp number to send photos of the damage to, which we did. We were then advised not to use that number and to provide a copy of the invoice as they changed systems and lost their client information. This is an ongoing problem with GC Fires - just stalling, blocking, avoiding responsibility, not responding to emails or phone calls, etc, etc. Shocking service all round.

Early June I contacted GC Fires because I heard great feedback for them, to get a fire place installed. After their advice on a builder and a unit, I ordered and paid for the Galaxy 80 fireplace with the intention of using the thermal fans that it come with. The only problem is, my unit arrived without a control panel. Which means the thermal fans never turn on and the install is incomplete with wiring hanging out of the wall for the control panel. I tried multiple times to follow up, the builder tried multiple times to follow up. Here we are 2-3 months later and my install is still incomplete. At this point, I guess it will still be incomplete next year winter. Basically, don't expect after sales service. I was then contacted after my initial review here by GC Fires to rectify the situation. After my review, I can now say that GC Fires went above and beyond to help me eventually get the switch delivered. Thank you GC Fires!

First issue was when I first placed my order. Item was shown in stock and i made the purchase on the 19th of April. The item was not in stock and I was contacted with an alternative replacement and was assured that the alternative option would work with my current 125mm flue pipe setup. Delivery took ages and false promises after false promises and terrible customer service, I only received the item on the 4th of May. First use of the fireplace and there was a BIG problem from the start. It was not working as it should and after getting experts to come and inspect what was wrong, it was pointed out that this unit works with a 150mm flue pipe system. Contacted GC Fires to clarify, and it was confirmed that the unit works with a 150mm pipe system and not 125mm as assured. Had to replace my whole system and pay for installation costs again. Now they refuse to take responsibility for their mistake and terrible after sales service as usual.
