God's Gift Events was the perfect setting for our wedding. The atmosphere, the food, the decor, everything was just perfect. The always professional hostess was at hand during the whole event, and we did not need to ask for anything. The food was out of this world, and perfectly served at the tables with no standing in line. From the moment I arrived, as the bride, I was just astounded by their heartfelt hospitality, and nothing was out of place. I would always recommend them to anybody. Thank you, Caro and team, you guys are the best!

It is always pleasant at God's Gift Venue. Caro and her team always do more and better than expected. I am one of the suplliers and witnessing the behind scenes, the effort, time and love they put in for every function. I can highly recommend God's Gift Venue to anyone and for any function.

Such an amazing venue, absolutely gorgeous. With the help of the great owner Caro and her daughter Chiara, these ladies make an amazing mother daughter team that covers everything from decor, stationery and the best food you will ever have at a venue. Would highly reccomend them to anyone as they make your event truly one of a kind with so much love and detail going in.

Our experience with God's Gift Events was incredibly disappointing. During the planning stage, we were initially promised the moon and stars by Caro, who assured us that this venue would be worth the hefty price tag. However, communication quickly deteriorated. The bride was not allowed to see the room where she would be getting dressed, only shown photos, and on the day you are basically restricted to the bridal suite because the outside was not properly equipped. We were also promised a dedicated wedding planner/coordinator who, despite Caro’s reassurances, never made any contact with us and only appeared—not dressed according to our wedding`s dress code—on the day of the wedding. Despite being told that our questions would be welcome, Caro ignored many of the bride’s messages in the months leading up to the wedding, sometimes for days at a time. Only two days before the wedding, Caro informed the bride that the décor needed to be delivered, then blamed her for being “late,” even though no such instructions were given earlier. When we brought the décor as requested, Caro sent an assistant to meet us, who confirmed everything we had discussed. Yet, that evening, Caro suddenly had more issues with our plans and refused to accommodate what had already been agreed upon. On the day of the wedding, things only got worse. Caro decided, without consulting us, to put yellow flowers on our tables—something the bride never requested. The rust-colored table runners we had specifically discussed were completely missing. The remembrance table, which was extremely important to me, was poorly arranged on the smallest table available and shoved to the side, completely disregarding our wishes. I wasn’t even able to have the flowers I had paid extra for, because Caro failed to communicate properly, wasting both my money and my time. The package we paid for included ten roses per table and sherry for the guests, but neither of these were provided, with no explanation and no refund. The bathrooms were filthy, with used toilet paper everywhere, dirty floors, and toilets that didn’t flush, forcing my guests and the groom’s party to deal with disgusting conditions. The driver provided to take guests to the bathroom was asleep and unfriendly, leading many guests to walk instead. The wedding coordinator/planner was nowhere to be found, and I had to constantly ask if anyone would be handling the timeline of the event. The waitstaff were dressed unprofessionally and even took drinks from guests while they were still consuming them. To top it off, the venue staff began cleaning up before the agreed time, turning off the music and leaning over my guests to clear the tables. Even worse, they packed up all my décor and accused me of *****ing items, despite the fact that Caro herself had packed everything into my car. My décor was treated with complete disrespect, with broken candles and items carelessly tossed into boxes. After the wedding, our frustrations continued. To this day, Caro has not provided legitimate receipts to justify the absurd deductions from our deposit. She accused our guests of *****ing a sign from the bridal table but has never provided an invoice showing the replacement cost. When we inquired about the corkage fees we were charged for unused wine, we were told to send a photo with a date and time stamp of the leftover wine (which we did as we still had all the wine in a box)—this turned into an unreasonable and unrealistic request given that Caro had made no mention of this requirement beforehand and we were unaware that the photo`s time and date stamp she was referring to was supposed to have been on the day of the wedding. Now, she ignores our follow-up WhatsApp messages, refusing to communicate and leaving us with no resolution. This experience started fine but turned into a nightmare, and I urge future brides to get everything in writing and to read all Annexures, and be very careful when they start clearing the venue after the function.

The owner of this establishment has no idea how to provide a service to a second party at all and is only looking after her own interest. Apart from the fact that she is rude AFTER signing a contract and receiving a deposit from you, she (in our case) went out of her way to make (wat was supposed to be a fairytale day) the worse experience of our lives.

Some issues that occured while planning my wedding with God's Gift Events: When I enquired about the venue I was sent menus and qoutes with spesific items on. When we did our first visit we were ensured all menus were still valid. After we paid the deposit the menu option changed without communication. The venue owner Caro simply said the menu is allowed to change. Only after a long fight did she agree to give us what was originally on the menu options. Before we booked the venue I sent a picture of decor and asked if it is included in the decor range. Caro insured me the items are included. When I asked for the items as part of my decor she quoted me extra. I later asked for the qoute te be removed as she already said it was part of the decor range. Coincidentally, one of the items apparently got lost on the night of the wedding and we were charged a significant amount to replace it. I asked Caro that all flower arrangement and planning not be discussed in front of the groom as it forms part of the first look. She did however discuss it in person with the the groom. When we called her out about it she said we are being impossible and the words bridal baby breath flower crown doesn't mean anything. After I requested the flower crown I waited 72 days for a quotation, following up several times without any response or explanation as to why I'm not receiving a qoute. When discussing setup of tables we were told multiple times we are not allowed a certain setup, even though it's on her website photos. We eventually had to go to the venue in order for her to give us the setup we wanted. I booked a 60 minute wedding planning session on the website and was chased away after 30mins because another couple showd up at the same time and was waiting for 30mins. I asked Caro four separate times on WhatsApp if there are champagne glasses in the guest house where we will get ready (we are not allowed to see the guest house beforehand) she simply said that she is talking to a lot of brides and doesn't answer questions that are obvious. Her whole tone throughout the wedding planning was rude. Her communication skills are bad, she never answers a question directly. Issues we had on the wedding day: My bouquet looked like a bunch of flowers bought at a supermarket. Not the same as my inspo picture at all. We had to redo the bouquet the morning of the wedding, rearrange all the flowers and cut the stems. The bathrooms did not have water, we had to ask for it to be fixed. We were qouted a golf cart to drive guests to the bathroom that's very far away. Instead we got a woman in a car, but she was never by her car and guests didn't know where to look for her so everyone had to walk. One of my guests plate was dirty and had to go ask for a clean plate before dinner was served. After the wedding day I asked Caro not to use photos of any of my personal decor on her social media platforms for marketing. She simply just ignored all my messages after the wedding, and posted my wedding photos on Facebook, then blocked my comments. Up to date she did not pay back the R1500 breakage deposit. Overall the day was still magical, would have just preferred better customer service.
