Not a single agent will pick up the call or respond... So unprofessional Found a house we really wanted only for an agent to respond a week later to state it's taken

Just pleased to share that Harcourts Midrand made things happen for me at a very short notice! This team understands the client needs very well and made sure I get to move into the apartment, which I desperately needed) all within 4 days! Thank you for your patience with me as well. Special thanks to Abrie, Tyrese and Bonga for coming to the party! 🙏🏽☺️

Really terrible experience with the agent I dealt with towards the end. I would recommend anyone dealing with Harcourts to record their telephone conversations with their agents because I was told one thing on the phone then when I was requesting my full deposit they didn't want to pay me back my money. The agent also denied me documentation that I am legally entitled to (repairs and cleaning invoices as well as statements from the interest bearing account that they are required by law to invest deposits in). I will be taking this matter up with the Rental Housing Tribunal, I suggest you all Google it and refer your complaints about Harcourts there, no point in just complaining & not taking action. I'm so disappointed 😞

No phone call or notice in writing. This year Harcourts Midrand absconded from their rental offices without giving notice. They had 9 months to go on their signed rental contract of 3 years which they now even deny. Come on lets be honest. They left the premises with damages like holes in every wall and their branding all over the office building. How did I find out that they had moved? The other tenants in the building informed me they had done a sneaky move out of the offices over a weekend. I received a letter after the fact to say they had moved and I should be grateful to keep their deposit. I could have the deposit in lieu of all of the damages and outstanding rental which included all their outstanding utilities for that month. All my efforts to meet with them to come and attend to the damages fell on deaf ears. A very bad experience indeed from a professional property rental company that should know and understand property contracts. I hope you will not be left out of pocket as I have been.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU SIGN with HARCOURTS: I bought a property from Harcourts Morningside in Durban in 2020. The process started off normally. However, once the paperwork was done, I was informed that there were tenants living in the apartment and the estate agent was unsure when they would be moved out. The tenants remained in the apartment for weeks after I was new owner, without my consent. I had no access to an apartment for which I was paying for. The rent due for the tenants was not paid to me for all this time but Harcourts surely knows who this money went to! That's not all- The keys to the apartment were not handed over to me by a Harcourts representative but they were handed over by the tenants. The estate agent Nomfuyo Nako was responsible for the sale and was nowhere to be found on key handover. The apartment was not inspected by Harcourts after the tenants moved out. I had to run after tenants asking for the key to the apartment which I just purchased!! On entering the apartment, we were horrified....There was extensive damage to the property, kitchen cupboards were lying on the floor. Pictures were taken. I am happy to share them with anyone who would like to see thee images. Harcourts then informed us they would pay for the damaged kitchen cupboards as their representative had not done due diligence in terms of key handover as they should have. That was 2020.To this day, I have not received anything from Harcourts, not even an email acknowledging their negligence in this sale. My family have used Harcourts for years and I have some colleagues who recommended Harcourts to me. This was not an experience I was expecting.I am utterly disappointed. I wouldn't want any buyer to go through what I went through with Harcourts Morningside. I have also sent numerous emails to the managers Wayne and Marlene Paola with no replies. I hope this helps someone who is thinking of buying property through Harcourts Morningside. What a terrible experience.
