Poor customer service received Bought a car last month . Spare key was not provided had to beg them for it until they arranged it with a guy from locksmith but also did unfinished work so I can safely say that I still don’t have a spare key Registration is still not finalised till today No communication from their side I’m the one who is supposed to do a follow up ..I had to tell them that special permit was expiring in next day

If I had to type the full extent of my shocking experience at Hillcrest Hyundai, I would be here for hours. In summary, if you are looking for a dealership that cares about their customers, I do NOT recommend Hillcrest Hyundai. Once you have paid for the vehicle and collected it, do NOT expect anyone to care after that. Promises, no returned phone calls and absolutely no communication was a reflection of the company’s culture and how much they ‘care’. Even the dealer principal didn’t bother to return a phone call. Nice vehicles but the worst after sales service I have EVER received.

I purchased a Hyundai Venue 2024 Model, my husband and i took delivery of our vehicle 30 March 2024 through a sales representative Craig Smith who did everything in his power to get this sale concluded as it was month end. The dealership took care of the vehicle licensing, we awaited the arrival of the License Disc as well as the Vehicle registration plates for at least a month and a half which we had no problems with, there after Craig Smith fit them on for me at my place of work sometime around May 2024. 22 February 2025 My husband and i were on our way to book our car in for the first service due. To our DISMAY & DISBELIEF we were questioned when did we purchased the vehicle? whose name is the vehicle on and who is Mr Brian.... as their system showed the VIN Number on my car vs the license disc and registration plates indeed belong to another individual . My vehicle insurance has been registered to the incorrect license disc as well as my tracking device. We then called Hyundai Hillcrest to query this, we were told that there is no point coming in cause the dealer principal is not in and they will be able to assist us. However my husband and i got there just in time before 13:00 (Their C.O.B) We met with their New cars sales manager Waseem Ballim, where now we are relaying the entire incident, we have been driving with the incorrect registration details for almost a year (11 months to be precise), upon hearing this Waseem says to my husband "Sir i am surprised that you are this calm , caused i wouldn't be" to who which my husbands responds, we aren't bad people we just need this rectified. At least 5 minutes into their conversation, their driver or assistant brings a set of license plates and a license disc calling out my name and questioning is this YOU? to which we said Yes. They then go on to explain to us we do know the owner of the plates and disc that has been fit on your car, he actually purchased a silver venue, he then had mechanical troubles and he was given a red venue and they see this vehicle driving around in the Hillcrest area. They then go on to explain to us that Craig Smith is no longer with the company , however can we put these plates and disc on and leave or alternatively Mr Waseem was willing to settle our vehicle there & then or in his words "i will trade this vehicle give you a better vehicle even offer you higher than your settlement" Which we responded NO, we actually do not want this vehicle, firstly there is two vehicles around the area, mine and someone else driving around with the same License disc and registration plates. We no longer want this vehicle we feel unsafe, and we cannot put these new plates and disc on as we feared what if there has been a duplication on this as well , our vehicle has not been registered with insurance to these details, so we refused and asked for a courtesy car which we were refused and said they cannot issue us one cause we have no grounds to request one. Today 24 February 2025 We met with the Dealer Principal Jared Pillay, once again relayed our story. To my amazement, he responds by saying this was an error he is only the dealer principal for 6 months and he cannot help any further because we have no grounds in asking for them to take this car back rectify their mistake and also inform the other customer of this negligence . He was absolutely rude , unhelpful and arrogant towards us , he lacked empathy on all levels regarding the situation. Majority of his answers were and i quote "I DONT KNOW" , "THIS IS NOT *****ULENT", "NOTHING BAD COULD REALLY HAPPEN AS THIS CAN ALWAYS BE PICKED UP" Lastly we were questioned "WHAT DO YOU GUYS PLAN ON GETTING OUT OF THIS, WHAT IS IT THAT YOURL WANT OUT OF THIS'??? At this point we were deeply disturbed and advised that we will take this further, our vehicle may remain there as we FEEL UNSAFE. Driving around SOUTH AFRICA with the incorrect details to match your vehicles VIN number is a crime , this is ***** . Kind Regards Saaliha Husman.

Buying a new car and making the right choice can be a daunting task, given the plethora of models and value for money choices that present themselves in the South African market. We dealt with Luke Smit in the new car sales division and from the moment of first meeting, across the entire sales process, his attention to detail and positive manner, made the process an enjoyable experience. Can only highly recommend him.

I purchased a demo vehicle from this branch on 12 October 2024. After taking delivery I was unhappy with the vehicle. It was very noisy when the vehicle starts and on second gear and there is a slight wrattle. I wanted to return the vehicle but the consultant advised this is not possible since the vehicle was a demo model. The branch did offer to bring my vehicle to sort out all faults. Before purchasing, the dealership should have done a walk around on the vehicle and test drove the vehicle. There is minor scratches throughout the car, the rim was also scratched. Now I Even cannot return the vehicle to finance another vehicle. Surely customer should have some type of cooling off period since my first installment only is to be deducted on the 27 November. It feels I have been enticed to purchase the vehicle which was offered to me as a reduced price. Now I know the reasons why because the vehicle is not showroom worthy and now I'm stuck with this car! Regret dealing with this branch. So much for tcf and the hyundai promise!

After weeks of being after me to trade in my car, I finally send them all the paperwork. They then did the deal I received the car brand new as per them and scratches on the car and tin scratches, they then tell me they will take the car back to get this sorted out. I then get the car and after thinking this is over, they never settled the old car that I traded in. Instead these people at Hyundai Hillcrest picked up a car that I traded in about 4 years ago and used that. I then got an email from the bank that I must settle my old car as well. When I made contact with these people they tell me that they made a mistake and because of that I must now pay more to get the car settled. I told them no and they must sort it out from there side. Today I am told by the sales Manager Riteshen that they will not sort this out and they will can do nothing about there ***** up. He then tells me that I should have told them that my car was financed and it is now my fault that they did this to me. He is rude and clearly has no customer service, they should not have people like this is service industry. This is not even talking about the sales lady Bulelwa that told me to my face that she is not a good driver but she is driving peoples cars. She did not do her homework or anything before she did this trade in and now I have to cancel a trade in because of them. They are the worst company to do business with. Stay away from this branch!
