Took my Honda CRV for a service in February 2022. Vehicle still under maintenance plan. Was very pleased with the atmosphere of the dealership. The whole procedure was completed in a friendly and competent manner. I took advantage of the shuttle service and it was organized - all arrangements were kept even in high traffic times. I wondered into the Honda motorcycle section at the dealership and struck up a conversation with one of the salespersons who was very clued up on Honda motorbikes and quads. I was very impressed with his knowledge and general demeanor. I currently own two Honda motor vehicles and have owned others over the past years, going back to the time when Mercedes Benz and Honda were under the same roof. Have always found Honda reliable and good to drive. The CRV must have the most spacious interior of all the vehicles in its class.

Recently sold a vehicle to Honda Sandton (North Motor Group). We were due to get R16K after settlement with the bank, but the salesman incorrectly paid only R8000 (strike 1). After undertaking to pay the balance he failed to respond to an email from my wife when this didn't happen (strike 2 & 3). In a follow up telecon he was defensive but again undertook to expedite the payment. Payment was again not received in the promised timeframe with the excuse that he was in a meeting (strike 4). He then sent a blank - no apology, explanation, etc - email with a schedule attached as 'proof of payment' (strike 5). The money subsequently reflected in our bank account. When I called the Dealer Principal to express my dissatisfaction with the poor customer experience he was more irritated by my call than concerned about the issue (strike 6).

I CURRENTLY HAVE A QUALITY ISSUE WITH THE REAR SEAT ON MY HONDA . THIS WAS RAISED WITH HONDA SANDTON IN JANUARY 2020. THEY MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE THE SEAT REPAIRED AT THE UPHOLSTERER. I REQUESTED A LOAN VEHICLE FOR THE DAY AND ALL ALONG JESSEY LESSER SAID THEY DO NOT HAVE COURTEOUSY VEHICLES AVAILABLE, THIS IS FROM JANUARY 2020. AFTER COPYING HONDA SA, THEN SUDDENLY I RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM JESSEY IN JUNE 2020 STATING THEY HAVE A LOAN VEHICLE FOR ME. THAT WAS A WHOLE 6 MONTHS LATER. IF THIS WAS HANDLED EFFECTIVELY IN THE FIRST INSTANCE BY MAKING A LOAN VEHICLE AVAILABLE, THERE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY FRUSTRATION ON MY SIDE.

(See my review of Honda Northcliff) Customer Experience was superb at Honda Sandton and the service desk personnel knowledgeable, very helpful and exceeded my expectations and is matched to Customer Experience excellence of Honda Umhlanga where the car was previously maintained.
