Disgusting
didn't have change for one of the staff members so she started shouting at me in front of the manager with the manager backing her up and then on top of that she was ****** saying I think I'm better because I'm white with the manager in front of her doing nothing! The moment the staff member stormed off the manager started telling me to ignore the staff member as she is stupid. the blatant 2 face approach from the manager who is a senior is disgusting and apparently family with the owner of the store so I presume this is what is promoted within the company to be ******** I will never set foot in any store of house of Salim disgusting and useless

Refusing to cancel layby
Good day House of Salim. I went to your Alberton branch and made a layby for a lounge suite. A gentleman called Mohammed kept on calling me to confirm if I want the day bed on left or right hand side. I have not confirmed anything with him yet as my husband and I were meant to come and conclude so he can order or send details to the supplier. Due to unforeseen reason that I disclosed to him I will not be able to continue with the layby. He is giving me a run around on the cancellation and saying he has ordered already. I am surprised how he ordered without a confirmation of what we wanted. I would like to know if I will ever be refunded my R20k because according to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 I am allowed to cancel a layby and be refunded and only he is allowed to levy 1 percent penalty fee of any costs he incurred. I am so disappointed as I am in need of this money. Please get back to me with concrete feedback. I have never experienced such bad customer service in my entire life 😞 I will never recommend anyone to buy from you. Regards Annah

Refusing to cancel layby
Good day House of Salim. I went to your Alberton branch and made a layby for a lounge suite. House of Salim House of Thieves
I was doing a laybye at House of Salim. I had a problem due to Covid 19 and I couldn't finish my laybye. So I went to House of Salim several times telling them that I can't continue since I have financial problems due to Covid 19.They said they would not refund me .I have to choose something else in the shop with the same value of what I have paid. Up to now they still have my money they say they will first sell the lounge suite and then I can choose something else worth the money that I paid for. Next time I won't buy at House of Salim. I wouldn't recommend that shop to anyone. They are thieves Daylight robbery.

House of Salim House of Thieves

Inferior Quality sold to me
I spent close to 50 000 rand at House of Saleem Glen store over the past year- This means that I have been a loyal customer... and need to be treated with care. I bought a glass coffee table in 2020.... 5 months later the glass fell off but did not break, I then took it back as I was said that they cannot exchange it but they will fix it- with convincing they claimed that the coffee table was exchanged. I picked this up from the store, took it home only to find out that this coffee table was inferior as the swivel glass was touching each other when turned. I then immediately called Saleem who said that this is strange and that I am the only customer complaining and that they sold a lot of these. I then left it as is until 2 moths later the glass fell off again. I called Saleem on the 1 December to inform him that the glass has fallen again and explained that this is a risk because my mom could have gotten hurt and she is 76 years old- The response I received from Saleem was that they cannot give me a different coffee table they will fix it again but I must wait until next year. What type of service is this for a reputable Company. I am under no circumstances taking this coffee table back- I want an upgrade even if is any cheaper coffee table. To mention that I had tried calling the store at-least 5 times from the morning and no one was prepared to help me.

House of Salim are thieves

They refused to refund me and Muhamed Kolvadia promised to get it sorted out. Fast forward, after months of them not communicating with me, about a month ago they finally collected the furniture to repair it. Yesterday they came to deliver it and lo and behold it has not been fixed properly. There are now chips on the set and issues I asked them to address are still not fixed. I refused to accept the delivery, now Muhamed says he was told they'll store it in the warehouse until I collect. All I want is a refund, but they don't want to refund me. What a bunch of thieves. NEVER DEAL WITH HOUSE OF SALIM!

Inferior quality coffee table
I. Bought a glass coffee table. In December and 3 months later the glasses fell off the glue i then called Salim at house of salim and asked for a refund or an exchange for another coffee table he refuses to do that but instead wants to fix it .i am afraid that the same wl happen once i get the repaired item it seems like it is of poor quality i would really like my miney back or another different coffee table

Satisfactory service
I bought a bedroom suite from House of Salim in Alberton in December 2020. When the bedside tables was installed to the headboard, the headboard's holes didn't match up with the bedside tables. This caused the drawers to be tight and not open and close properly. I called Mohammed and they exchanged the bedside tables for me within a few days. Overall not too bad service from this company.

Pathetic Cheaters
I will NOT recommend house of Salim to anyone. They are pathetic. They dont give your order on time and I sent over 20 emails and didnt get any response, every time I call I'm told that my call will be returned by I never get calls back. My order was so simple yet they cant give me any feedback. They take your 50% payment and after that you never hear from them. Pathetic cheaters
