Bad experience
**1/5 – Extremely disappointing, will never return** We visited this restaurant today (10 January 2026) in Mossel bay, and honestly, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. My mom’s steak arrived raw. I sent mine back because it was also raw, and when it came back the SECOND time, it was still raw. They clearly couldn’t get it right. My knife was dirty when it was placed on the table – properly with old food stuck to it. The glass my cold drink came in smelled like egg (yes, really). The toilet seat in the bathroom was broken. They promised everyone a little bowl of snacks (chips) “when you arrive” – we’re more than an hour in and we still haven’t received ours. The menu is more of a suggestion than anything else; several items listed were simply not available. When we asked about children, the response was: “We don’t really cater for children.” The coffee machine wasn’t working. The waiter warned us in advance that we’d have to pay for sides (as if that was a favour), and if you want to order a ****tail, you should “be prepared to wait” – which seems to be the theme for everything here. My poor dad was embarrassed that we were pointing all this out, but I’m sorry – when you’re paying R200+ per person for undercooked food, dirty cutlery, and a broken toilet, you have every right to say something. Please stay away. There are much better places out there. This one doesn’t deserve your time or your money.

Amazing dining experience
Century City branch is INCREDIBLE! If you're looking for a close to five star experience we highly recommend. From the venue to the food and most of all the staff. Special shout out to the hostess with the gorgeous blue eyes and our server Charity. Thanks for making it an incredible evening. Joh and that pudding shot with the bill. You out did yourself guys x

Best Huzza Grill for anyone else
In the last 4 years as my wife and I celebrate our anniversary they have kindly given us a wonderful pudding with "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate powder on the plate and a free wine bottle to take home

Rude service
Having been a family client of the Hussar grill from the year it opened in Rondebosch and then as a student earned my name on the wall on a little brass plate. I believe I know the establishment. This past Friday evening at Hussar durbanville left a sour taste in my mouth. Nit from the mushroom sauce I received instead of my mustard sauce ordered. It was from the senior management I questioned about my partner having to eat her kingship with a steak knife, mire so from the comment I received when asking about the etiquette removing my plate white she was still eating. "So you must be old school from the DOS era. Well I did programming in DOS in 1983 when at uct but irrelevant. Apparently today thats old school etiquette and dies count today. I'm sorry as a long standing client who was there when you were growing your business don't let the youth destroy it. Etiquette is everything. Maybe not in his world but I have my values. I hope its not the way you treat all the clients in this new era. Still a great steak. **** attitude

A ROYAL TREAT
We have been to the Hussar Grill in Century City,the service we received we were in awe, we were treated like royalty from when we arrived right up until we left. Our night was made very special, excellent service truly I can say they have a wonderful team, the food and dessert was heavenly. I can highly recommend The Hussar Grill in Century City, go and see, it's a kingdom on its own, be it a birthday celebration or anniversary or even a date night, you will receive the best treatment and the most delicious foods and desserts

A ROYAL TREAT
We have been to the Hussar Grill in Century City,the service we received we were in awe, we were treated like royalty from when we arrived right up until we left. Our night was made very special, excellent service truly I can say they have a wonderful team, the food and dessert was heavenly.
