My experience with this company has been nothing but stressful and appalling! I had taken out a loan with FASTA and due to unforeseen financial difficulty I was unable to make my payment on the date as agreed. FASTA then called me via telephone and had set up a payment arrangement with me which I was happy about. The next thing I get a very threatening email from Jer 31 stating my account has been handed over and they will take legal action if I do not contact them. At this point I was absolutely stunned as I had just made an arrangement directly with FASTA a few days ago. Nevertheless, I emailed back and was told the account has already been passed to them and theres nothing I can do about it. They also added ridiculously high commission on my existing debt as if they did any work to chase me when im not running away from my debt. I even asked if they could atleast remove "some of the commission" and they said no. I still agreed and set up an arrangement with them. All in the while I am still receiving communication via email from FASTA regarding my arrangement with them and that I need to honor that arrangement via direct debit. Confused as to what the hell is going on I emailed Jer 31 and asked for clarity. I was emailing a manager named Gillian who was no help to me at all. She told me that even though I set up an agreement with Jer 31 my agreement still remains with their client FASTA which did not make any sense at all because why would they pass my account to a debt collection company for Jer 31 to manage and then send me payment reminders, not forgetting that FASTA still tried debiting my account and I had to pay fees for this! I then emailed Gillian advising her that she needs to send me confirmation that FASTA will not debit me anymore as I dont want to be debited twice. She responded by saying this concern of mine is escalated to FASTA and that they will provide me with an update. This was on the 19/02/2026. Till date, no update was given. Yesterday, I got debited by FASTA as well as Jer 31. Ofcourse, I was furious and I emailed Gillian and advised them to cancel the arrangement with Jer31 as FASTA debited me and clearly my arrangement with them stills stands so why in the world am I dealing with this pathetic company who wants to rob customers out of their hard earnings and force them to pay ridiculously high commission. Gillian emailed me back stating they cant cancel the direct debit/arrangement but will escalate the matter to FASTA. I AM SORRY NOT SORRY this is not a good enough response and further more this company never got back to me initially when I queried this. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman and I have all the emails as proof as well. We take loans because the income we have is inadequate to cover bills and then we get these ****mers who want to rob innocent people by forcing them to pay the extra fees and commission when they dont even do anything its the customer that is willing to get this sorted. No empathy, no professionalism as they lacked to honor that they will get back to me and never did, do not care what happens to your finances as long as they get a direct debit out of you. Well Jer 31 do what you must because I will NOT be paying a cent to you. FASTA can debit me as per our last arrangement seeing that its exactly what they've already done. I want nothing to do with this company! And again this will be raised as a formal complaint! This company's email is even coming up as not valid on hello Peter so I have input Gillians email.

Yesterday, I got debited by FASTA as well as Jer 31. Ofcourse, I was furious and I emailed Gillian and advised them to cancel the arrangement with Jer31 as FASTA debited me and clearly my arrangement with them stills stands so why in the world am I dealing with this pathetic company who wants to rob customers out of their hard earnings and force them to pay ridiculously high commission. I want nothing to do with this company! And again this will be raised as a formal complaint! This company's email is even coming up as not valid on hello Peter so I have input Gillians email.

Melisa and Andrea Abrahams are so rude . I called in to enquire about my account that was being handed over to them . In the email I got I was offered a 10-50% discount. I’m being told that it’s a limited offer and if I want another offer I should call in Dec or January for a discount..Melisa goes on to rush me through the call because She wants to go on her tea break . I was unemployed for the longest time and honestly I have a lot of catching up to do with my debt and I’m here begging for a discount but it seems like I’m asking for a heart transplant because why am I being told I should call back in two months and that they cannot even guarantee that I will have a discount. Which is honestly soo unfair

I have applied for Debt Review. JER 31 deducted a debit order from my bank account and do not want to, reverse the debit order. I advised them that Debt Busters will be in contact with them shortly, yet they still have not refunded me. The letter clearly states that all debit orders as well as Debi Check mandates must be canceled. Vultures who enrich themselves from stealing from others. If I do not have my monet back before the close of business on 3 March, I will go to the SAPD to lay criminal charges.

These people will harrass you. they are rude and when a client hands you over to them, every day they add R100 to your Balance knowing very well a person gets paid once a month!!
