KARMA POOLS
Gutted pool and work has stopped no end in sight. It has been 3 months of back and forth with Jacques from Karma pools and still the work he was paid for has not been done. The numbers we have are either always on voicemail or he takes forever to respond and even then never shows. The pool has been emptied and stripped and that is as far as it has gone. How do we go about tracking this lovely specimen of a human down??

Karma Pools Disaster
Do not use this company. (http://karmapools.co.za/) Having previously used him to replace a pool pump which was a terrible experience, I asked him to come and check because less than 5 months later it didn't seem to be working properly and was still under warranty. He sent his technician Arthur who said the problem was actually with the pipes from the weir to the pump. I stupidly paid Jacques (though I see that he sometimes changes his name, see the other hellopeter reviews, but im referring to the the owner of Karma pools) more than 50% upfront as he said he needed to buy the materials. Jacques sent people to dig a trench and replace the pipes and they ended up breaking the weir, leaving me with a bigger problem. Second mistake, I then paid him an additional 50% upfront to replace the weir. He then strung me along for weeks saying he was on his way but never pitched up and giving a wide variety of excuses. He eventually stopped answering his phone or replying to my messages. I lost my money and ended up with a disaster in my pool and garden.

Deshen, unfortunately your post was a bit late for me and I could have got real professionals out. Gentlemen and ladies Please be aware and do not fall into the same trap as what Deshen and I fell into. I had my pool epoxied by them on the 15th November and have still to this day not been able to fill it back up as you can scratch it off with your nail. Here comes the kicker, they even admitted to making a mistake and reducing the amount of hardener when mixing the 2nd batch to apply when they came out to have a look on the 26th November. Despite many promises of coming back to redo the pool from the 26th November, they just do not pitch up or even take calls (they even blocked my number). They have refused to refund me (yes even after admitting they made a mistake) and then have the arrogancy, truly unprofessional and shoddy work. My advice to anyone that is currently doing business with them, please do not pay them until your pool is filled and working like it should. For those considering using them, proceed with caution. I will come back with full review and more info after consulting my attorneys, yes, I will not them just swindle other honest people of hard earned cash.

Incomplete Job and refuse to refund me!!!!
So lets hope there is enough characters. I will try to keep this as accurate as possible. So I paid these guys for my pool repair in full an amount of R60k. He fitted a pool pump that is not working. He fitted the DB board that is not mounted and water keeps getting in and tripping the main house. He installed a light that is not yet connected. They were supposed to do the paving which was started and not completed. He refused to come and finish the job stating the reason as me giving him a bad review and he also refuses to refund me. the pool is still leaking. Do not trust this guy - make him do the work before paying him a cent. Do not be a fool like me and pay him. Now i got to get lawyers which is an extra cost for me wall while my pool is still not sorted. I will send a link to pictures and the full story soon which evidence. I hope this will help people.
