I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share my recent experience at your restaurant on which a girl by the name I don’t know as she didn’t introduce herself with blond braids at the at the end of her extensions was disappointing and very rude due to the poor service we received from her besides being inattentive and absolutely disrespectful and rude . Just because I had initially asked her to give me a few minutes to settle down before my order even after saying please turned out to be an unpleasant evening thereafter. From the onset we experienced long delays in being attended to, both when placing our order and receiving our food and drinks.The waiter seemed inattentive and unorganised specifically to our table and I had to repeatedly ask for my glass to be topped as she was very much preoccupied with the other table in front of us. When our order finally arrived I had already lost my appetite because the whole her whole scene and energy was not welcoming. While we understand that busy times can affect service, the lack of communication and courtesy made the experience far below expectations—especially given your restaurant’s reputation. I’m sharing this feedback not out of frustration, but in the hope that it can help improve future guest experiences. We genuinely wanted to enjoy our time, but left disappointed. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you’ll take the necessary steps to ensure better service moving forward. Besides I’m happy that Chris and Carol came to find out what was happening and showed empathy and for that I do appreciate.

I am highly disappointed with the customer service of the Kloof Country Club, and how you treat the youth of today. I was denied access to book a table at the restaurant to dine with a few friends on Saturday the 9th of October 2021, who by the way are all over the age of 18. I understand that you are hosting a grand opening on the 8th of October 2021 and there is an age limit of 25 of Ladies and 27 of Gentlemen for that particular event, however my reservation was for the 9th of October at the restaurant. I would like to quote just a few lines from your website before I continue “…restaurant open to member and public, wedding, function and conference facilities…” and “Kloof Country Club really is the place to be for young professionals, families, retired locals and holiday makers.” Now for you to deny my access to a public restaurant is discrimination, a country club’s rules does not govern a public restaurant “open to the member of public”. As a restaurant your job is to welcome customers and ensure that they have the best time whilst they are dining. However you turned me away. I will make sure that my voice is heard!

In 2012 I booked a date for a wedding to take place at Kloof Country Club and I paid a deposit, the wedding did not take place and I never asked to be refunded the money. Now I keep getting statement with the credit of the amount I paid, when I inquired about it I was asked for proof of payment, how on earth do they expect me to still have proof for something I paid for in 2012, then I was asked for the date the wedding was booked for, and I gave them the date, now it has been weeks that I am waiting for a response, they should tell me if they don't want to refund my money instead of making me a fool by making me wait for nothing I am just totally angry by this, a few days back I received an email of the statement again with the money I paid, but no one is bothering to inform me of what is happening with regards to my refund, I thought that place was professional but it shows I was wrong, I am just appalled by them.
