Lake Smit and partners did some tests in November 2023. They nearly made me loose my arm and i reported this to Lake Smit and partners soon after the incident. They assured me that the matter will be investigated but they did not. The next action is that the account which I queried with them now is with NSG attorneys without giving me any findings on their investigation. This is a highly irregular abuse of power and monopoly.

When my MRI co-payment telephone call came in from the Overport head office yesterday, I was then transferred to the Busamed Gateway Hospital branch to make arrangements for my MRI. I was informed telephonically that I could come in at any time to have it done, as no appointments are made. When I arrived at Busamed Gateway Hospital at 09h00 am to have my test, a female receptionist lambasted me for not arriving at a 07h30 am appointment time. I said no one had told me that I was to come in at 07h30, and I recounted my telephone call with the person the day before, regarding no appointments and arriving when available. The same receptionist then said that feedback goes against their company policy, intimating that I was lying in my feedback and understanding of the situation. I reject such unpleasant and unprofessional behaviour. I was then told to wait until 11h00 am for my appointment, and go and sit in the coffee shop, which I duly did. I was told to return at 10h30. I'd no sooner sat down and ordered a cup of tea, when I was told to return immediately for my test, as they were ready "now". I politely declined and said because I'd ordered tea, I would stick to the arrangements made earlier. This behaviour demonstrates a disregard for customary customer quality service, and again, I reject the bad treatment from this branch.

Once again I went for a PET Scsn at Lake, Smit and Partners at Gateway Busamed Hospital. The information they send prior to scann is informative and leaves no doubt as to what you must do prior to scan. Fatima at reception was her pleasant self always having a welcoming smile. The handle my concerns with care a attention , they then hsnded me overvto Patrick who again was wonderful in handling my conerns, all the others unfortunately not all had name tags so can not name personally but they were wonderful. Foe rhose who do not like PET scan machine join the club, but after they sedative and this time leaving my hearing aids in was able to listen to my music from my cell left with my clothes this helped a lot. I did ask for continual communication whilst being scanned ti reduce my phobia which unfortunately did not occur. Regardsless once again a great experience and thanks again to all the wonderful staff. The other wonderful thing that they also do is keep all your records and scans or xrays on line which is wonderful as when you want to see them or you see other doctors they can easily view them.

I emailed these clowns my doctor’s referral for an ultrasound, and after an absurd volley of emails and redirected calls, with repeatedly unanswered calls to their bookings department, some auntie took down my name and number, several hours after which I was contacted in connection with a completely different procedure. Radio silence persists Days after belching they’d get back to me. Their financial department has always been so efficient at recouping payments that it seems like the company’s frontline could certainly do with some immersive training.

If I could rate lakesmit entabeni lower, they would get a 0. MRI rates are not quoted correctly and every time I was quoted an incorrect price. From staff to management they are clueless and unprofessional. I did direct my complaint to operations team leader Riaz and practice manager Raksha which also could not get a correct price. I dont have faith in them doing my MRI as I feel this complaint was a joke to them. I see why their google reviews are soo low and no one responds. Someone needs to intervene and get this practice right as you are loosing clients.

If I could rate lakesmit entabeni lower, they would get a 0. MRI rates are not quoted correctly and every time I was quoted an incorrect price. My son is admitted in hospital for an Injury Lakesmit refused to perform an Ultrasound for my son via Medical Aid stating that the procedure is that patients must pay CASH as medical aid rates are not enough anymore. I explained we have Gap Cover. Policies and Procedures. . I complained and spent 45 minutes on the phone , being transferred to various staff that don't know until I got to management, Ms Govender that confirmed that CASH payments are mandatory required for ultrasounds I called Jackpersad and Partners a competitor and they had no problem completing the scans using medical aid rates. Disappointing.

They instruct you to make a booking for ultrasound over email, which I have done before a few months ago, with less hassle. (note, not 'no hassles') Tried to make another appointment, and reception just replies to contact a number, which says your are first in queue, and disconnects you after a while. Go back to email, ask for help and why there is a problem as this has been done before, and they just give you a one-liner response: "They probably busy" Not even any decency to put a name to their signature and stop communicating to Dr offices that we must send to an email if you don't offer the service anymore. If you are fully booked or don't want business, say so. Treating customers with absolute disregard in the healthcare sector is arguable worse than almost any other sector. Get your house in order. Called another provider and got an appointment sorted in less than 3 minutes, including wait time.
