Big promises, poor delivery. Spent over R100k with this company. Wouldn't advise anyone else to make this mistake. They got fundamental things wrong, like underquoting on the amount of sand and compost needed to build up my flower beds (to avoid swamping in winter), which caused extra, unbudgeted costs down the line. They turned up when they felt like it, in between their other jobs. Loads of delays. Poor communication, Matt, who owns the business, often didn't respond to calls and messages. They recommended a wellpoint company with a friendly, but unprofessional approach, which took nearly a year to get the well point working properly with the irrigation system. The irrigation system installed by Landscaping Cape Town had to be adjusted several times, and still is not working 100% with one solenoid needing replacement and at this point Landscaping Cape Town has abandoned their responsibilities to a system which should still be under warranty. Thanks to them, for the second Christmas in a row, I have had to resort to at least partial manual watering, as not all zones are working on the system they installed. They also don't listen to clients' requirements properly, and then are upset when they supply the wrong items and the client doesn't want to accept them. For example, I specifically requested latte screens along my one wall, and latte screens around my water tank (to HIDE) the water tank. The company supp**** trellises for the wall, and a latte screen which was 50cm too short to hide the water tank. So I didn't accept these items. Also, I requested sufficient Carissa bushes (Num-Nums) to create a hedge around my back garden. Firstly, several of the plants died when the company had to dig them up and replant them to raise the flower bed to the correct level (as should have been done in the first place). Secondly, not all the Carissa plants that were planted by the company are the ones that grow into a tall hedge. I have subsequently been informed that some of them are the kind that only grow into a low hedge, and others are only suitable to be used as ground cover! Yes they are Carissas, but they are the wrong ones, and will never turn into the hedge that I paid serious money for. The team had to come back a second time to properly remove a submerged patio which they had failed to remove completely the first time. They left loads of rubble hidden underground, and some flower beds are less than 20cm deep before a solid rubble layer prevents further root growth, meaning that everything planted there dies. They were fully briefed on what needed to be removed from the ground to prepare proper beds, but once it came time to do the actual work, they did the minimum. Other tasks which were discussed up front (and which Matt said were small jobs which would take very little time to do) like removing a concrete drain against one wall, and filling in one next to the house to prevent water pooling, did not appear on the invoice, and were treated as 'favours' done, which created awkwardness in the face of all the invoiced work which was not being completed satisfactorily. Due to the irrigation system not working properly, about 20% of the plants died over the first Christmas period because it was simply impossible to keep up with the manual watering while I was away. The company took no responsibility for replacing these plants, or the ones that died after they had to dig up and replant a section of a large flowerbed to the level a second time. All in all, a traumatic and expensive experience, sadly lacking in timely, adult professionalism.

After multiple emails and complaints regarding this company and the project they did for me, my issues have still not been resolved. The owner, Matt Gregan said he would be coming out last week to sort the issues we have with paving and our seating/wall area as well as laying the grass but nothing has been done and he is just ignoring all communication and follow ups via email and Whatsapp. The only issue that was sorted out was him paying for another provider to complete the crossfit floor that his team did ***********ly. I am sitting with cracked paving, unsealed paving, damaged grouting and no drainage which is causing water to pool in areas on the paving as it wasn't layed correctly and various parts of paving process were not completed per quality standards. My seating area and wall area is also still not sealed properly and hasn't been sanded down and is getting damaged due to weather conditions and external factors. I still have not received any grass for the front area and had to get another service provider to sort out. The lack of caring about completing projects that have been paid for is ridiculous and I would not recommend them to anyone. It has been 4 months of fighting to get this project done and spending R238k and things are still not sorted after having this provider say multiple times that they will sort it out and its just excuse after excuse. Don't waste your money here.

I engaged Landscaping Cape Town CC - Matt Gregan for a substantial landscaping project at my home, with an investment of R238,000, anticipating a high standard of professional service. Unfortunately, the project has been fraught with issues, leading to a highly unsatisfactory outcome. The CrossFit training area was improperly constructed with substandard materials, resulting in structural failure upon its first use. Remedial efforts were inadequate, failing to address critical drainage issues caused by improperly poured concrete. Additionally, the grass that was contracted to be laid in the front yard was never delivered or installed, leaving a significant portion of the project incomplete. The paving work not only exhibited extensive cracking but was also installed unevenly, which compromises both aesthetics and safety. This installation has been assessed by a professional who confirmed that it needs complete redoing. The seating area and walls, which were supposed to be protected with a special coating, remain untreated and have suffered weather-related damage. Furthermore, the documentation and submission of plans for a pool installation, as per our agreement, were never executed. The culmination of these issues not only represents a failure to deliver the agreed-upon services but also a significant financial loss and inconvenience on my part. The company’s response to these concerns has been to advise legal recourse, demonstrating a lack of professional accountability. I find myself compelled to advise potential clients to reconsider engaging with Landscaping Cape Town cc, given the severe shortcomings experienced in their handling of my project.

I hired Landscaping Cape Town cc for a big landscaping job at my house, expecting top-notch work after putting down R238,000. Unfortunately, it's been a complete mess. I paid the full amount, but they haven't finished the job and what they have done is really subpar. Here’s what went wrong: **CrossFit Training Area Mess:** They were supposed to build a CrossFit area, but it wasn’t done right. The floor gave way the first time I used it because they used the wrong materials under the flooring. When they tried to fix it, they messed up the concrete, leaving it with no proper drainage, and just left it like that. **No Grass in Sight:** They never delivered or installed the grass for the front of my house, so it looks unfinished and quite bare. **Cracking Paving:** The paving is cracking all over and it's installed all *****ed. It looks awful and it's actually unsafe. A paving expert told me it needs to be completely redone because it’s just not right. **Seating Area and Walls Left Unprotected:** They didn’t apply the protective coating they were supposed to on the seating area and walls, so now there’s weather damage. **Pool Plans Forgotten:** They were supposed to add the pool to the plans and have them submitted by a draftsman, but that never happened. **More Problems:** The electrician they brought in was so bad I had to hire someone else to finish the job. And there were so many issues with the pool installation, I ended up paying for another expert to fix their mistakes. The owner of Landscaping Cape Town cc won’t deal with any of this and basically told me to sue them if I’m not happy. Really unprofessional. If you're thinking about using Landscaping Cape Town cc, I'd think twice. They've let me down big time, and I still have an unfinished project even though I've paid in full. If you want more scoop on this, feel free to reach out to me directly.

I hired this landscaping company for a comprehensive project at my home, investing R238,000 with the expectation of receiving professional and high-quality service. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite paying in full, the work remains incomplete, and the quality is far below acceptable standards. Specific Issues Encountered: Incomplete and Faulty CrossFit Training Area: The CrossFit training area was not completed according to the agreed specifications. After using it once, the floor caved in due to improper materials being used under the rubberized flooring. When they attempted to fix it, they poured the concrete too high, leaving no proper drainage ability, and abandoned the job in this state. Undelivered Grass: The grass for the front of my house was never delivered or installed, leaving a portion of the project unfinished and my garden looking incomplete. Cracking Paving: The paving installed is cracking extensively. This not only looks terrible but also poses safety risks. The paving was put in completely skew. It's clear that no attention to detail was given during the installation process. Incomplete Seating Area and Walls: The seating area and walls were supposed to receive an additional protection coating, which has not been app****. Unsubmitted Pool Plans: The pool was supposed to be added to the plans by a draftsman and submitted after completion, but this has not been done. Additional Issues: I had to hire another electrician to complete the job because the one provided by the company was ***********. Due to issues with the pool installation, I had to hire another pool expert at my own expense to correct their mistakes. The owner has refused to address these issues and has suggested that I pursue legal action if I’m unhappy. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering this company for their landscaping needs to think twice. The service has been incredibly disappointing, and the project remains incomplete despite full payment. If you want more details about my experience, feel free to contact me directly.

Had this company referred to us. Chap came to our house, asked 2 questions, had a look around for around 3 minutes....never bother to take any measurements or ask any questions....aside from HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO SPEND! He left and we never had any further response. Having read the reviews and having spoken to a few folk in the know......we were saved from being caught by this company......steer clear of these guys!

What a negative experience. 8 months later and I am sitting with an incomplete patio. The company was paid to do the work instead the work was left incomplete and there is no resolution for them to finish the work or give me a refund. All attempts to resolve this matter have been futile. I would not recommend this business.
