I had the most disappointing experience on the 2nd January 2026. I made a booking for my mom and myself at Langebaan Boutique Hotel and Spa. When we arrived we were told there is no booking confirmed for us, even though it had been confirmed and the money paid. The hotel had advertised a King room with 2 double beds and a spa bath. When I enquired about this specific room that I booked, the manager TK told me they didn't have any rooms like this, however just a few minutes before that the receptionist had confirmed that there was a family room with these specifications. There was no apology for the oversight on their side for missing my booking and over booking as a result, leaving me with no accommodation in Langebaan and I needed to drive all the way back home. There was zero customer service and zero empathy.

This “Hotel” is pure ****ery if that was an existing word. The worst hotel experience thus far. One star is an exaggeration, I can’t comprehend why and how this hotel is still in business with such bad service, you would swear it is run by the mafia based on how much they do not give a ****, the price is exorbitant for the service I received. The staircase to the room is dark at night, I almost lost my front teeth getting up the stairs, I had to rely on my cell phone flashlight. When I returned to my room after 6pm, my room was not cleaned, the reason was that they didn’t have a spare key, who’s responsibility is it to make sure that they have access to the room? I left at 8am in the morning. They couldn’t clean the room for the 10 and a half hours I wasn’t there. The TV didn’t have a remote, I had to ask a colleague to borrow me her remote to at least watch TV in that miserable hotel, it was so cold, I had to go back to the reception area to ask for a heater and they gave me the most low budget fan heater which barely worked. The coffee station is on the bedside pedestal, including the kettle. I had to go ask for a shower gel/soap, it wasn’t included the bathroom. The room didn’t have a single mirror, No hangers in the closet, The glasses were so revolting. The restaurant didn’t have a waiter or waitress Gift Chef had to assist us invariably. I was vexed with this hotel. Nadia the receptionist and Gift the Chef are too good for this place, If they leave, that hotel will be on its knees. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYBODY. I will make sure that our company escalate this matter further.

I made a booking 2 months ago using a voucher I had won for a 2 night stay for two people at the Langebaan Boutique Hotel, who claims to be the only 5 star hotel in Langebaan. Upon arrival they had not reserved a room for us and seemed shocked that we were there. The receptionist admitted she had messed up and not put our booking into the diary however the service received from management after this was horrendous. A 'plan' was made and we were put in a room in a building next to the actual hotel. When viewing the room we were shocked. For a hotel claiming to be 5 stars this room reflected zero stars. We then called the owner from the room, as we were in the building next to the hotel, to express our sadness in the quality of the tiny room we were being squashed into at the last minute and he was so arrogant and rude to us, basically blaming us for the fact that they messed up the booking and were now fully booked with a conference party. I'm not sure if it was the fact that we used a voucher and did not pay for the stay or the fact that he perhaps does not know how to deal with issues arising in his own hotel but if you happen to choose this hotel to stay at please make sure you first confirm which room you will be staying in and check up 100 times before arriving that your booking is confirmed. We did not end up staying as the room provided was so small and cramped with no view whatsoever, which I guess worked in the owners favor as he now had two less guests to worry about. Not that he was too concerned to begin with. Overall the service was appalling by the owner himself and in my opinion the 5 stars mean nothing if you have someone with a 1 star mentality in the hospitality industry running the place.
