We have just returned from South America. Over a 6-week period, we had 17 flights with LATAM with total cost approximately R150 000.00. On our way back to South Africa, we accidentally left a rolled-up painting at the A6 departure gate at Quito International. We were disembarking at Lima for our connecting flight to Sao Paulo when we realised this. As we entered the terminal building at Lima, we asked a person at the LATAM desk to contact LATAM in Quito Airport to ask someone to look for our painting in the gate area. She would not help. Our travel agent in South Africa contacted the LATAM office in Johannesburg. They would not help either. It is impossible that neither of these entities could immediately contact LATAM Ecuador in Quito Airport to get someone to go and have a look. There are hundreds of LATAM flights departing from Quito every day so I am pretty convinced that LATAM ground staff personnel would have walked right past gate A6, if not even used the same gate again. Because I reported the loss so soon, if the above agents had bothered to help, a Quito LATAM staff member would most likely have found the painting before the area was even cleaned. Our travel agent also mailed Quito Airport about it but no-one has got back to her as to whether our painting has been handed in to "Lost and Found" or not. She has also followed up to no avail. Very unhappy client

The worst ever service from Latam Airlines. Booked a flight to Rio in March 2020, Covid happened, and All flights was placed on hold. The requested a refund in March 2021 and been waiting for more than 3 months to have refund paid out. Call centre is unhelpful and keeps promising the refund will be don3, but nothing happens, will not Recommend anyone to book a flight with them to South America or make use of them for connecting flights.

I purchased a ticket from Latam for Johannesburg to Sao Paulo, paid in excess of R12K. As a result of the corona scare, I cancelled a week ago. They will only refund me 100 euros, which is about R1800.00!! They should have been more flexible in the current situation. Real BAD customer service!

I purchased a ticket from Latam for Johannesburg to Sao Paulo, paid in excess of R12K. As a result of the corona scare, I cancelled a week ago. They will only refund me 100 euros, which is about R1800.00!! They should have been more flexible in the current situation. Real BAD customer service!

I have bought a ticket to travel to Brazil. With the corona virus scare, I have decided it's safer not to travel. I sent an email to Latam to inquire if a refund, or even a part refund might be possible. They have, however, not even had the decency to reply. Now I'm stuck with a ticket I cannot use.

Paid extra money to choose a seat and 48 hs before the flight, the system deletes the seat allocation and the call centre couldn't help me eithed. I have a medical condition and thats why i paid extra money to get a seat. Please help

Latam cancelled my international return flight from Rio to Johannesburg leaving me stranded with no warning. I had several tickets all with Latam in the past two weeks and was not prepared to beturbed away today. I would not recommend this airline going forward especially after bookimg all the tickets with them. Their helpddesk has not responded timeously and I feel both frustrated and ripped off.
