ruined cleaning of couches May 2019 couches returned to be fixed august 2019 according to leather experts were ruined did wrong cleaning! director Phillip Marks will not admit his mistake I am ignored and will not pay any compensation although very obvious made a huge mistake ignores me now has been on HelloPeter before Pity I never saw review before I dealt with him But he still carries on Not affected by reviews on Hello peter shoddy workman and not nice to deal with

UNFORTUNATLY I SAW TOO LATE BAD REVIEWS ON HELLO PETER RE PHIL MARKS AND LEATHER CARD 2018 I NEEDED MY COUCH CLEANED HE NEVER CAME TO SEE THE COUCH ASKED FOR A PICTURE WHICH OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT SHOW THE LEATHER PROPERLY I DO NOT KNOW LEATHER IT IS NOT MY EXPERTESE BUT ACCORDING TO PHIL MARKS HE IS AN EXPERT IN LEATHER CHARGED ME R6000 TO FETCH AND CLEAN THE COUCH THIS WAS IN APRIL 2019 ! THE COUCH WAS RETURNED IN A SHOCKING STATE LEATHER DIFFERENT AND COLOUR AND MARKED BADLY NOT THE SAME SOFT LEATHER ! I HAVE PICTURES OF COUCH BEFORE AND AFTER AS PROOF I HAD SPOKEN TO THE PERSON WHO MADE THE COUCH HE SAID ITS A SPECIAL ZAMBESI LEATHER NEEDS A SPECIALISED CLEANING I HAD A LEATHER EXPERT IN AS WELL WHO SAID THE COUCH IS RUINED DUE TO WRONG CLEANING METHOD EVENTUALLY PHIL MARKS COLLECTED THE COUCH TO GET THE COLOUR CORRECT AS IT WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT IT USED TO BE BUT ACCORDING TO LEATHER EXPERTS IT COULD NEVER BE RESTORED TO ITS FORMER GLORY RUINED THE COUCH WAS COLLECTED IN AUGUST 2019 TO HAVE THE "COLOUR"CORRECTED AFTER MANY CALLS TO PHIL MARKS MEANWHILE THE LEATHER HAS BEEN DAMAGED HE WAS CONTACTED AFTER A FEW MONTHS SAID DUE TO LOCK DOWN CANNOT DELIVER THE COUCH LOCK DOWN WAS NOT FROM AUGUST 2019? I sent an enquiry to Leather-guard on the 22nd of November 2018 and I received a response the following day from Phill, the owner. He agreed to collect the couches on the 21st of January 2019 and I paid 60% deposit i.e R6 840 in December the 18th. I tried calling him in mid January, to confirm the collection but he did not take my calls, he did not reply to my emails and WhatsApp messages. He responded to my emails after the agreed date of collection, I requested him to cancel the job and refund me. He promised to refund me by the end of February. The refund never happened, I contacted him early in March, he promised to pay half of the money at the end of March and half at the end of April. No payment received at the end of March, he requested more time again and the pattern kept continuing until today. Not even a cent has been received from him. This is a day light robbery and I will not let it go until I receive my hard-earned money. I am now pursuing this matter with all relevant institutions that can help me, I am also involving the Speak Out TV show. As customers, we need to know our rights and exercise them. I have tried to be understating all this time but now I am giving up, I am looking at alternative ways to get my refund back.

I had very good service from Leather Guard. I asked to have my couches dyed. The owner made sure that I was happy with the colour by sending photos during the process. All e-mails were answered. Couches was returned in good order.

I bought a lounge set from Rochester in Strubensvalley, where I bought a protection plan from Leatherguard, which was quite expensive too. This plan protects you from cuts, sc****s, tears etc on your leather. Since January I have been trying to get hold of them as we have a tear in the seat, I have sent numerous emails to the address supplied on the website and certificate, as well as phone calls to the provided nr, which goes to a voicemail, and I leave messages, but no response. They do not reply or respond to emails or phone calls. What am I to do please? I have phoned Rochester too, and no one is able to assist? What am I to do now?

We have written 2 emails to Leather Guard to log an insurance claim and we still have not received feedback. Not even an acknowledgement that they have received or emails. We have been paying for the insurance /leather Guard cover and we cannot claim. Currently on of the couch frame seems to be broken because when people sit it makes a sound and a bend can be seen in the middle when someone sits on that particular seat. 2. We previously claimed for oil stains on that particular couch. They collected the couch and replaced the panel, we however made a complaint that the wrong leather type/material was used, they collected the couch and indicated they had corrected the problem but the leather used is not the same. Now it is very clear that the material used is incorrect as it is different from the rest of the couch. We are kindly requesting that Leather Guard resolves these issues.
