My mother and mother-in-law (both senior citizens) were left to navigate the spa on their own with no guidance between treatments. They were not informed of treatment times, where to go next, or even when and where lunch was served. I repeatedly checked with reception and was assured they were fine, which turned out not to be true. I emailed both the branch and head office on 31 January and received no response. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Life Day Spa — especially for elderly guests who require attentive service and clear guidance.

I went to Life Day Spa Pretoria on the 16th of December 2025, just before our massages, I realised I still had my watch and bracelet. I then asked asked them if I could take them off and put them on the counter. I did exactly that, we then had our massages. After our massages, I forgot both my watch and bracelet. I then went home and a few days later, I remembered them. I contacted the spa and I was told someone that claimed to be my sister came and collected my items. I asked how did they authenticate her identity and what proof did she give that the watch belonged to her sister and they couldn’t respond. They then told me they made a mistake and that they didn’t give the person my watch. Now they say they’re busy investigating my case and I have been waiting since then.

Beware of the cunning and misleading 3 for 2 voucher promotion. At no point during the purchase do they notify you that the 3rd voucher cannot be used with the other 2 as it only becomes valid next year. It is apparently hidden in some t’s & c’s. What’s worse is that last year you could use all 3 and when we made our booking at Octavia’s by Day Life Spa, the person used all 3 voucher numbers and confirmed the booking was paid for. As a result we ended spending the cash we were hoping to save via the vouchers, and are sitting with a spare voucher which we had no intention of using. Clearly very cleverly constructed to make people still spend the full amount and commit to a future purchase. Very intentional.

I got a well needed voucher from my daughter in law for a signature manicure. I book my appointment 3 weeks in advance and require about this treatment and also the lady asks if i want gel or polish. I choose the gel and my appointment was confirmed with a sms. The day before my appointment i recvd a reminder email with a different timeslot and when i phoned the next day no one could give me a satisfactory answer execpt that they will investigate and come back to me. Needless to say i had to phone 4 times , NO one bothered to phone me back only explain that they now have a group booking ( more money you see) “This spa’s motto should be: ‘Book at your own risk.’ They completely messed up my confirmed booking, leaving me with no choice but to cancel my plans. All I got was a casual apology – NO solution, no accountability. Absolutely unacceptable.” “Imagine making plans, confirming them, and then finding out you dont have the correct booking for the correct treatment -Yep, that’s this Life day Spa at the Crystal Towers Hotel in Century City Cape Town...Their solution? A weak ‘sorry’ – like that magically gives me back my wasted time and ruined day. If this is their idea of customer service, I’ll pass!” There is no Hoo Haa about this spa exept for unprofessional untrained staff. And the sadness of this all is the energy I have wasted putting together this review, since the have their money already.

Life Day Spa WESTRAND My experience with Life Day Spa WESTRAND in the Silverstar Casino was one of the worsts. I made an appointment for 11am, which I arrived on time for. I then proceeded to change into the robe and flip flops provided and sat in the waiting area waiting to be called for my appointment after filling in the form. I sat in the waiting area until 11:45 with no assistance and or explanation as to the reason my appointment was running so late. I eventually got up and went and got dressed and reported to the front desk that I was leaving, they acted surprised and asked that I stay for a massage on the house. I declined, I had already changed into my clothes and they had not bothered with any explanations to me before I said I wanted to leave. They promised to call the next day to arrange for a reappointment for the services I had booked- THEY NEVER CALLED. They simply do not care. Shocking service, unprofessional and they lie.

I’m disappointed with the lack of customer service from Life Day Spa Pretoria. I sent an email at 10:00am with no response, followed by a phone call to make a booking—which was also ignored—and then a WhatsApp message to secure payment that still hasn’t been acknowledged. For a business in the wellness and service industry, this level of unresponsiveness is unacceptable. I expected better communication and professionalism, especially when trying to give my business to the spa.

my husband and I recently visited Life Day Spa in Pretoria to celebrate our 4th anniversary. We had planned to enjoy a relaxing massage treatment, but unfortunately, our experience was marred by an unfortunate incident: someone opened my husband’s locker and stole his phone. We were disheartened to learn that there are no cameras inside the changing rooms. While we understand the privacy concerns, it has left us worried about the overall security of our belongings. Additionally, I inadvertently opened another guest's locker using my password, which further heightened our concerns regarding the safety measures in place. After the theft occurred, my husband sought assistance from one of the managers on duty, who helped search for the phone and opened lockers using another password. This incident, however, has made me question the security standards at your spa. In addition to the emotional distress caused, we are now burdened with the financial impact of replacing the ****** phone (iPhone 13 Pro Max, estimated value R24,000.00), which was taken from your premises. We were unable to fully enjoy our spa treatment due to the distress and frustration of dealing with the theft. During my conversation with the COO, Mr. Anthony Greef, he asked me an irrelevant question about my expectations after raising my complaint, which left me feeling that my concerns were not being taken seriously. I am deeply disappointed by this lack of acknowledgment.

I bought a few vouchers for microneedeling… At the time it was done based on the prices given on their website. When I used the voucher for the treatment I paid for , they want me to pay a difference , more than the value of the original payment made … There new prices shows now a split in the treatment that I got , therefore I need to pay the new price… You got my money for 6 vouchers … up to 2027… Meaning if I want a facial microneedeling… the current value will not be for my whole face and décolletage, but only for my neck … Please advise …
