Bought a thermostat for my oven on Thursday 09 October 2025 at Lynnwood Domestic Services, fitted it, and at first it worked. But then within 5 minutes it stopped working. After about 30 minutes it started working again. Called in the help of an electrician. Removed it again and electrician tested it with multi meter to confirm continuity, it worked sometimes and other times not. Electrician advised it is a factory dud, it happens, and because it is still brand new and to be returned within 24 hours, they should exchange it. I then returned it on Friday 10 October 2025 with the proof of receipt, but "Stefan" just refused, saying they do not give any guarantees on electrical components. It it was 6 months or a year down the line, I could've understood maybe, but not within 24 hours! Not satisfied with their excuse on not giving any exchange warranties on electrical components, since they are an electrical service supplier specialist.

Bought a spare part for an oven. I was told that it is the correct part I was looking for and the salesman assured me that it will work. The said part doesn't fit into the oven so it cannot be used. Upon trying to return the part for a refund, they told me it's not their problem and refuses to give me a refund. The salesman was very rude and condescending. Even though the part is unused and in the same condition that I bought it in. They were very eager to sell the part but won't assist in a reasonable solution.

What an amasing and positive experience! I needed a technician to assess my SpeedQueen washing machine as it seemed to have a problem on the spinning cycle. Surien was very helpful with information, expected costs and making a booking. Their technician, Lucky, arrived within the scheduled time slot. What a pleasant, professional and knowledgeable technician! It turned out to be only the belt that needed replacing. Lucky shared information on preventative maintenance, went over the costs again and completed the repair and checked other items on the machine to be in good working order, on site at my home. This was money well spent considering my "old work horse" is 10 years old and this was the first issue or expense on repairs and maintenance! I remain a loyal LDS and SpeedQueen customer. Thank you to the LDS Team, keep up the good work.

DO NOT use their whatsapp for spares-only function. Not only does it take ages but in the end they just do not respond. After almost a week I eventually got a response from them that they need to source my spare part and attached the quote. I paid, sent the POP to their email address, and notified them of this. I have not had any response from them since then. No acknowledgment, no FU, nothing. Not a business that I will ever use again or recommend since they have ****** money from me without providing any service.

I only just realised how bad service is generally accepted, when experiencing amazing service. How getting a vacuum cleaner fixed can improve your day only LDS knows. The service was great and on point but the guy at the counter is really a gem!!!!! Thanks! Go to LDS. Even if its just to improve your outlook on life ; )

Terrible service. The man who came out to look at our broken fridge gave us the impression that he ordered the part which takes 3 days to arrive. It's been more than a week and when we followed up LDS hadn't even sent us the qoute hence the part had still not been ordered. They never once phoned us or followed up. They're obviously not serious about doing business so I will never use them in future again and will go out of my way to advise family members and friends to use other businesses that actually want to do business. They deserve a 0 star and not even 1.

Op 03/06/2020 kontak ek Lynnwood Domestic Services oor my KIC yskas/vrieskas waarvan die kompressor aaneen hardloop. ek vrduidelik aan Zelda my probleem en sy onderneem om iemand na my huis te stuur. Op 05/06/2020 kom een van hul personeel na die yskas kyk en na ondersoek meld hy aan my dat die yskas oud is en vervang sal moet word. Daar is blykbaar n lekkasie in die gaspyp en die eenheid is toe so hy kan nie die pype ondersoek nie. Hy vervang die klep op die gaspyp asook die gas, die koste R1276.54. Op 08/06/2020 verwittig ek hulle dat die motor steeds aaneen werk. Die amptenaar kom weer na my huis en ek vra aan hom of dit nie die ontvriesingselelment is wat foutief is nie. Hy se dis n ou model en het nie so iets nie, Hy sal vra dat my geld maar aan my terugbetaal sal word aangesien die yskas nie herstel kan word nie. Op 10/06/2020 word slegs R445.54 aan my terugbetaal. Ek kontak Jolene en bespreek die aangeleentheid met haar en sy se die uitroep koste van R730 is betaalbaar ongeag die uit**** van die werk. Die klep en gas kan hulle nie terugneem nie en iemand moet daarvoor betaal want die firma kan nie die verlies neem nie. Ek kontak n ander firma wat die yskas kom haal en na drie dae terugbesorg en ten volle herstel en werk nog steeds perfek. Helaas net die ontvriesingselement vervang. Duidelik was Lynnwood Domestic Services nie in staat om die yskas te herstel nie.
