Sleaziest creeps I’ve ever encountered in the motorbike world— I bought a brand new Mondial 300 motorbike back in March from these guys, and it broke down before it even had 1000 km. The head mechanic at the shop claimed they couldn’t find anything wrong with the bike after it broke down on three different occasions within days of each ‘fix’ from Mad Macs, one of which left me stranded on a remote area of the N1. After taking it to a reputable shop in Gardens, I found out the ‘new’ motorbike they sold me had a blown head gasket and faulty fuel pump. They refused a refund, the manager never called (not once), and I’ve been out the cost of a brand new bike and without the motorbike almost this entire year. Their solution: send us an email outlining everything that happened with the bike for a solution. The emails they provided don't even exist. That's the level of sleaze at this shop. Save your money and time and stay far away from these ******.

ook my Suzuki Boulevard C50 800 in in for a problem...starts,idles and cuts out. The 2 guys at Mad Macs said no problem: "coastal tune-up" and new plugs required. Called me a week later to collect. Went there, started the bike... same problem..trip from Pringle to Somerset wasted. Week later they called and said the the STV Actuators were malfunctioning, can't fix and have to order a full new throttle body for R24K. I said no and collected the bike. Brought the bike back home and stripped and cleaned the entire fuel system. STV actuators work just fine! Clearly an entirely different problem! Had to pay R2,700 for a so-called tune up and 2 new plugs AND A BIKE NOT FIXED...WHAT A RIP-OFF DONT GO THERE! I expect there will be no response, as with these kind of places there seldom is:-(

Worst buying experience ever. I bought a bike in September 2022 and is still waiting for my license disk and number plate. After many emails and calls and being told so many stories I was finally told that the previous owner has a outstanding warrant and that they can't can't get the bike on my name. Now I'm sitting with this. Please people make sure all is in order before buying from them.

I bought a new SYM trailblaze 200 on Monday 6 July 2020. Trevor Westman was very helpful and managed to source the motorcycle from Johannesburg and have it delivered by Monday 13 July 2020 with all the registration papers completed. Trevor communicated the status of the order regularly and the motorcycle was perfectly clean and delivered professionally in Caledon at a reasonable fee of R450. I had an awesome buying experience and look forward to more of the same when it is time for servicing. Thanks for the excellent service Trevor! I definitely recommend Mad Macs in Somerset West for buying advice and service.

I am very pleased with the service I got from Mad Macs Motorcycles in Somerset West. Purchasing my very first s****** from them was a breeze. Due to me being situated in Cape Town, I was stressed about how I would get my s****** home as it is lockdown, but their salesman, Trevor Westman, whom I dealt with reassured me that he will have my bike delivered to me. In no time my s****** was home. However, due to lockdown they struggled to get my s****** registered & licensed as the queues were a nightmare. After a few days they got my s****** registered and licensed and again they sent someone to drop it off for me including a cute Sym coolerbox bag as a gift. Throughout this journey I felt like no challenge was too big for them to conquer and that having a happy customer was a priority to salesman, Trevor Westman. I am very very happy with my s****** and the service I have received. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a s****** or even something bigger.

So I have read about Aslam Salie bad experiences at Mad Macs Motorcycles and I would like to add I was overcharged for a small weld job on my thread on the rear swing arm for the paddock stand which came to R1800 after I was quoted R600.Then to my disgust I took my bike to Martin Paetzold as my rear suspension was given me hassles. I paid For a 115kg rear spring as this is what mad macs motorcycles recommend, to discover it was a 100kg spring. I have contacted Rob to reimburse me for this but wants to hear nothing of it. Im so disgusting how we get ripped off and treated by so called reputable establishments when they are at fault.

I bought a product from Mad Macs in Somerset West, which they developed, and sold in their store. I fitted it to my Kawasaki (a brand of which they are the official agents). About a year later that product failed, causing damage to other parts on my motorcycle. Right from the start they refused to refund the failed product. But was informed that they have ordered a replacement part for the OEM fender that broke. After three months of waiting, I have now been informed that they expect me to pay the full cost of the new part since the product that failed (which they developed and sold to me) is an aftermarket product! Lack of communication, and then selling sub-par products which they then refuse to support means that Mad Macs will NEVER see another sent of business from me.
