My Dad was admitted to hospital early September. I recieved a call mid September from mwdaol advising the doctor was not covered in full. My parents are sassa pensioners so I made arrangements for two payments it was not a pot outstanding. I made the first payment and then 2 days after sending proof of payment I get a wattsapp from medaol reading me again about the arrangement and that a R100 admin fee will be charged if I do miss a payment. I was needless to say shocked that a company may charge 15% of the actual bill as an admin fee. I will be logging this with the ombudsman and complaining to the doctor concerned as I find this shocking that vulnerable elderly people who would not question this is being done in. Also a note this is not disclosed when you make the arrangement.

Today I recieved a email from this company that I owe money for my ANAESTHETIST that was done by Dr JOHANNES SMIT INCORPORATED. To my suprise the amount is close to R7000 and what suprised me is that the hospital or nor the Dr himself did not tell me that he charged more then the avarage rate for ANAESTHETIST. I believe this blantant ******ion. How can you ask R1000 just for the Dr to tell you he is doing your ANAESTHETIST? R2100 just to look at my blood pressure for a hour and half . This is just unbelievable

I called Medsol to confirm bank details as I wanted to make an EFT payment on an outstanding account. I got through to reception and asked who I was speaking to. The person who answered the call then proceeded to ask me who I would like to speak to. I told her that before I told her my enquiry I would like to know who I am speaking to. She then told me...and I quote "NO, YOU TELL ME YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER OR DOCTORS NAME AND I WILL TRANSFER YOU TO ACCOUNTS" (bear in mind that this is the first time I am dealing with Medsol). I then told her my doctors name. She then transferred me to Emmarentia, who apologised for the persons behaviour. She told me person's name is Gail. This is utterly poor customer service with a bad attitude. What happened to common courtesy? How the hell does somebody that rude end up in a customer service position?

I received and account for services rendered and paid that account 25 January 2018. I have faxed the proof of payment, emailed the proof of payment, phoned and told them that I paid. They still phone me and ask for payment, which is affecting my credit record. I do not know what else to do??????????

Medsol provided a quote of R2998.50 and then charged me R3373.35. Just by co-incindence I became aware of it. Then asking them to immediately credit me, they insisted that they cannot credit me and that they can only offset the amount against a much later invoice. If I was a doctor and these guys did my accounts I would seriously reconsider. Their administration is useless, their staff become irritated when they have to speak to clients, take a minimum 7 days to respond. No wonder when phoning their office in PTA you get automatically transferred to PE... I can think why they did not last in PTA. <br>
