I am deeply disappointed by the level of abuse of the service received from Mercedes-Benz Pietermaritzburg. My mother took her car in for a routine service, and afterward discovered that the engine dipstick was missing—something she only realized when attempting to refill diesel. Despite reporting the issue promptly, the dealership provided no clear explanation, and claimed the dipstick was already missing, even though it was never noted during the service intake. What’s worse is that my mother has unknowingly been driving the vehicle without a dipstick for nearly three months, which poses potential risks to engine health. Despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no resolution or feedback, and the communication from the dealer has been inconsistent—first denying responsibility, then promising to "look for it." This level of negligence and poor customer service is completely unacceptable, especially given the stress and frustration it has caused, not to mention the risk to vehicle safety. We expect better from a brand like Mercedes-Benz. Can this matter be attended to? This is not the first time my mother has experienced problems with the dealer

My car came in for repairs on 31 December 2022 at Mercedes Benz branch in Pietermaritzburg, I have had to chase for feedback from day 1. The communication and service has been really bad for me. I paid 70% of what they quoted me for repairs in January, I was told a down payment would be required for parts to be ordered, until today my car is still not fixed. I would actually like a refund and my car to be towed to a more reliable and efficient dealer. Even when I call for feedback they are either on leave or unavailable. No one bothers to call you back for feedback.

We were involved in an accident end of November 2022 where my GLE aquaplaned on wet roads and hit barrier. Vehicle has been with Mercedes Benz since then. Insurance approved repair on 06/12/2022 My vehicle is still at MB approved panel beaters waiting parts that were apparently ordered. No eta can be given with regard the parts neither can they give me answers with regards when my vehicle will be ready. Been told that online parts order system has been offline since December. In the interim i am expected to pay an exorbitant monthly debit order to MB for a vehicle that sits on their floor. Disappointed, frustrated!!!!! After more than 10 years as a mercedes benz client I cannot understand why mercedes benz cannot commit and say we dont have parts. We cannot source them or know how long it will take? Accept responsibility for the terrible service and come to a solution. Dr RB Haridass

My car paint work on the boot below the number plate was peeled of just before I could receive my car and friends whom were present that were ther to fetch their car witnessed what had transpired wen a service advisor tried to drive the car out 1stly from the wash bay area into the workshop. He could not as he didn't apply the handbrake down and the wheels were still locked and he was driving it. And we could see this clearly from the workshop. I then noticed paint work on the boot below the number plate was peeled off. I then asked the managers what happend and his reply was he does not know or because the paint work is old. It had been washed a couple of hours before and that is wen the paint work on the boot below the number plate was peeled so that is how I see it. But not Mr imraan varaachie and his managers. Other parts were also missing and damaged and wen I asked Mr imraan varaachie in front of the other customers he said he knew nothing telling me that it was like that and I'm responsible for the theft and the damages. He had a terrible attitude towards me and other customers who were present wen I asked him. I know very well that I left my car with the parts.which were broken of and taken. And also the paint work on the boot below the number plate was peeled. I've been washing my car and no paint work peels of from anywhere. How come today it got peeled off and nobody at Mercedes-Benz wants to take responsibility. Mr imraan varaachie told me to drive it out from the back and even said to me if he must spray paint it. Why would he.asked me that if employees didn't do that? Strange question hey! I got freakin ****ed.of with them and I then called Mercedes-Benz SA to report the matter. I had just spent over 45k with them and on a job well done. But today this is how get treated with a terrible attitude from employees at Mercedes-Benz Pietermaritzburg wen I ask why the paint work on the boot below the number plate was peeled of. It's not fair to be treated and lied to by employees from Mercedes-Benz Pietermaritzburg. I'm really not happy with what they did at Mercedes-Benz today.

A month ago I took my vehicle in for a service, I noted it was making an unusual noise when braking and alerted Trideshna Reddy (Service advisor). Mercedes has come up with several possible causes for this noise. I have taken my car in on several occasions for assessments, to-date they have not fixed my car, instead I have received such poor treatment from the gentleman I was dealing with (Mr Reddy). I am applauded at the lack of customer service from such a well established brand. Its just over a year since Iv bought my vehicle, to be told that "we don't know where the problem is, we don't want to give you false hope" is absolutely unacceptable!! I was told by them to continue using the car in its condition "its safe". How can I continue to put myself and my children's life at risk?? Today when I expressed my disappointment on how the matter is being handled, I was told by Trideshna Reddy to "take it up with Mercedes Benz". I am in utter distress, this entire experience totally contradicts Mercedes Benz customer service and quality policy!

Mercedese Benz in Pietermaritzburg has just told me that the maintanance plan will not cover the electrical wiring damage because they say its due to rats, i really fail to understand this and i feel that it is totally unfair to pay when my car has not reached 100 000km stipulated by the plan . Please assist me with this.
