I had the good fortune to come across this company while searching for pine furniture that had no compressed wood in it. We live near the sea, so it had to be solid pine to prevent rotting. The service was excellent, dealing with Prasen was a pleasure and their delivery (Karen was responsible for this in Western Cape) was also excellent.

I had a very good experience with this business. I was very hesitant to order bar stools that I have not seen but Prasen was very helpful in emailing me time and again with the info I required. He also got a quote for me from a courier company as they do not deliver in the Eastern Cape. Very happy with the service and the products.

<p>I have had an unbelievable experience with an employee (female) as well as the owner of the company at Mistry's Pine Furniture based at the Atlas Lifestlye Centre. I called in to ask for a price of a cloud 9 base set, she told me about the entry level and I told her I am not interested in the entry level one but rather the superior comfort. She asks me to hold on and then comes back with the price of the entry level. I than told I dont want the price for the entry one but rather the superior, she put me on hold and went to find that price. I then asked her about the guarantees on the cloud 9 matresses and she said they have very good guarantees, I went on to telling her that I bought a mattress from them more than a year ago and it was a cloud 9 matress and I have a huge problem with it sinking in. She then said that that particular matress dont have a guarantee. She asked if I had the receipt and told her that I dont think I kept it but luckily I know by law they have to keep the receipts for 5 years so they should have proof. She told me that they had a system crash a few months ago and lost all records........ Coincidentially..... I assume....... so typical of these INDIAN Businesses to do that. I than told her exactly that, its a typical indian business man that will say something like that. She went on and argued with me and I said to her she must not waste my time but put me though to the manager, she said WHAT did you say and I told her "Dont fuc*en waste my time and put me through to the manager" She then put the phone down on me. I called back and the owner of the store came to the phone and was even more ruder than she was. His tone was high pitched and he said to me that he was standing besides this woman and listened to the entire conversation and WHATS THE PROBLEM. I than went through our conversation and he said that they lost all records, I told him thats a typical indian business mans answer to everything they dont wana assist with and he was screaming at me. He then went as far as calling me a fuc*en bi*ch..... SERIOUSLY..... This is how the owner of a company speaks to his customers. I did call him an as*hole in the end and he just put the phone down on me....... Now what.............. My matress is still not sorted out and its a cloud 9, they not cheap stuff.......</p>

I ordered a Headboard on 22nd September and was told 2 weeks to have it lime washed and delivered. I requested that delivery only be made on 22nd October before lunchtime. Invoice was paid and delivery confirmed. 22nd October I phoned Mistry's to confirm delivery would be made before 12pm as requested a month ago. I was then informed the driver would be called to confirm, as delivery was only going to be after 2pm and this was not acceptable. I then had to phone back again as Mistry's still had not called to confirm the delivery time had been changed. I was then informed that my order was delayed and the Headboard would only be available in a weeks time due to issues with lime washing. So when exactly was I going to be informed that their is no Headboard? When it wasn't delivered and I phoned them to find out. Not only did they have an extra 2 weeks to have my Headboard ready but Mistry's could not be bothered to keep me informed. The most shocking service and the excuse is unacceptable.

We recently purchased 3 items of furniture from Mistry's in Northgate. As the promised date of delivery approached, with zero communication from the company, I made numerous calls to ascertain (a) whether the delivery was going to take place, (b) if so, when, & (c ) how to obtain an invoice to pay off the balance due. This required at least 6 phone calls, none of which were ever returned by the salesperson responsible (Karen). When I paid the balance & sent proof of payment, I was told that it hadn't been received. Having finally managed to confirm delivery, after 3 pm on the day in question, I was informed, at the last minute (ie, when the van was already on the highway to my address) that they had loaded the wrong item and would have to redeliver the following day. All this would have been bad enough (10 phone calls, and counting) but when the furniture arrived, it was of the worst possible quality and stained bright orange (!) instead of the light oak requested. The samples shown in the showroom were entirely misleading and bore no relation to the shoddy, inferior products that we actually received. Stay away, for the sake of your wallet and your mental health.
