I purchased a vehicle from Moffett On Main Pre-Owned in July and received the car 15 July 2025, on 16 July 2025 I informed the sales person of a rattle in the driver door, rear tyres are basically done and the tailgate door unlatch while driving. The sales person informed me that I must take into account the year model and millage, it was a 2018 year model and only about 101 000km on the clock and that I must close the tailgate door correctly as this could happen if I do not close properly. Please bare in mind that the dashboard does not indicate the door is open when starting the car to drive to town, while driving the dashboard signals that the door is now open. They could not deliver the vehicle quick enough after I mentioned the issues they only had excuses of how they do not have drivers to collect the vehicle. We had to drive to PE and drop off the car at MOM Pre-Owned. The sales person in formed met that they can't find anything wrong with the tailgate door and can't find anything wrong with the driver door rattle and that the tyres was fine when they put the car through roadworthy. I asked them to open the driver door to check everything on the inside (the was a loose component) and I asked them to replace the lock mechanism as there might be issues with the lock or latch mechanism. They said they have made adjustments and I should test this first as this did not happen when the drove the car. I had to go back to town to collect the car, 2 days later the unlatched again and I told my father about this and he had a look and the mechanism was dirty and cause the issue. If they only put the time and effort into my concerns they put into selling cars they could have sorted this out. They did not car that I was a lady in a car and the tailgate door unlatches and I have to stop next to the road to open and close the door in the world we live in today. While my father was attending to the lock mechanism on 8 September 2025, he saw that the tailgate door was cracked on the edge of the door close the the handle. I reported this to the sales person and yet again the sales person only had excuses. I told them I can't not have a car and they must issue one for me while the tailgate door is being fixed, this happened 3 times and still the tailgate door has a crack. The las time I got my car back on the 7 November 2025 the door was still cracked. Now they have decided to ignore me and not respond to my messages, so may things happened this is probably not even everything. This is not a dealership I will recommend to anyone or ever make use of again.

Disgusting service and refuse to refund my deal Purchased car on 15th October - issues that we picked up on recieveing the car from Port Elizabeth to East London (aircon, tyres, window, service wasn’t done…made them aware of the issues) Breaks had to be replaced and I traveled from PE back to EL and then back again being told the car was in perfect condition. Since then it has been back and forth via watsapp with the salesman as the dealer principle refused to give his number and didn’t take calls when phoning dealership - car went for a service and breaks all of a sudden had to be replaced as well as the whole aircon system (not told to us on purchasing the car) - to this date (7 months later) the window has still not been fixed - sales man tells me I can fight him no problem Dealer principle refuses to speak to us. He even admitted to us in person that it was a in his words “*** buy” DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP

I unfortunately did not read the reviews on here prior to purchasing a vehicle from MOM pre owned. When dealing with the sales person I was assured the vehicle I ended up purchasing only had one previous owner and it had never been in any accidents. Less than a year of owning the vehicle things started to go very wrong. In looking into the service history I came across several insurance quotations for a accident the vehicle was involved in. When questioning the sales person about this he basically told me they don't do checks on the vehicles and take the previous owners word. They do not take responsibility and the warranty they sell you with the vehicle proves to be useless when trying to claim from it.Tens of thousands of Rands later we are considering taking this matter to the relevant ombudsman as this seems like a *****ulent transaction. As per the other complaints on here I would not buy from these guys again.

From the very first meeting with the sales person JP it was a pleasant experience in performing the purchase. On taking delivery of the Mercedes it was immaculately cleaned and JP ensured that I understood all the necessities. On arrival at home I noticed that there was something small that required attention and the very next day this was resolved. I have bought a number of new vehicles and some of the dealerships can be taught a lesson from JP at Moffett on Main pre-owned.

They all friendly and helpful to sell you the car, but as soon the car is handed over they don't care AT ALL anymore, nor fulfill their 6 month warranty...Never again! They promised the spare key and new license disk the week after I got t he car, I had to wait a month for my disk, they even accused me of getting it already and losing it, and I had to wait 6 month for my spare key after numerous mails and phone calls! (yes there was lockdown, but I got my car first week in Jan and lockdown was end of march only)
