I purchased a few spices from Osman’s Taj Mahal at Checkers Oceans Mall during their “2 for R26” special. I bought Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Paprika, and Orange Pepper — all still sealed in their original boxes. After storing them in my spice cupboard for just one week, I started noticing small insects everywhere. When I checked, I discovered that all of these spice packets were infested with bugs (weevils or something similar). It was absolutely disgusting! The infestation quickly spread to the rest of my cupboard, and I had no choice but to throw away every other spice I owned. This is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Food safety and quality control clearly aren’t being taken seriously

I am absolutely dissapointed with my purchase with osmans chillie powder I purchased it had sand in it. When I cooked my food my mutton curry was sandy I had to throw away I need assistance in regards to this matter.

I recently visited Osman Spice Works on Sirdar Road Clairwood and was quite frustrated when I had to pay 2 1/2 per cent more on my debit card. When I enquired with the cashier she told me the information came from the management level. I tried calling and emailing with no response. I also left several messages for the CEO Naz, but still no communication. Sadly, such a big business Osman Spice Works has no customer care. Customers should be aware when shopping at this place with their bank card.

I have purchased two packets 1kg pea dhall from the local mall. I noticed after cooking this item for more than 3 hours on both a normal stove and gas stove it's still unable to boil properly I have tried everything but seems like the quality of the item is very poor I would like an immediate response as to why would you guy's manufacture a product of such low standards seeing as we as customers are paying the retail price. I have lodged a complaint on Facebook and also sent an email to no avail there is no response or any form of help.

A few weeks ago I purchased a particular masala manufactured by Osmans Spice Works under their label "Osmans Taj Mahal" After using the masala I realised that there was something terribly wrong with it. I complained via e-mail on 5 February 2021. I followed up on 8 February as there was no response from them. They replied on 8 February requesting details such as bar code, batch number, address from where the remainder of the product can be fetched for the purposes of testing. On 9 February I forwarded all of these details. I followed up on 14 February and provided all the details once again as there was no response. I also followed up on 17 February as there was still no response. It is pointless providing an e-mail address on the packaging if there is no intention of taking any complaint seriously. REALLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE considering that we have used their products for over 20 years and have never previously complained.

I called in on Monday the13th of November 2017 about a product i have purchased have spoken to a Thilo and i have mailed her my dissatisfaction of the spice I have purchased and today the 15th of November i called in to find out whats the story Thilo was very very rude she raised her voice at me then I asked to speak to the owner and guess what the owner wont show his face has his puppet Lorette speak with who herself was so rude and uneducated has no customer service s****s and i wonder why the owner does not want to take my calls every single staff that i spoke with was rude harsh and had no way of communicating to customer except for Pam
