Greetings My husband and I sent Own Haven to housing tribunal and they were granted to pay us our deposit. I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding Own Haven, who has refused to refund my deposit after I moved out of their property in January. The reason for moving out was a severe sewage issue that had been ongoing and ignored for some time. My daughter even fell into the sewage while we were heading to work. Despite multiple complaints to the landlord, no action was taken, and the situation became untenable, forcing me to leave. The landlord has now been ordered to refund the deposit but continues to refuse. I’m reaching out to HelloPeter for assistance in resolving this matter and ensuring I receive the refund I am entitled to. Please let me know how you can assist.

My name is Thandiswa Naliohi, i live in an estate called Riverwood, east london, i have been denied access to the gate bcs im owing levies, for a year ive been paying my levies until repo rate went up my house was 6500 n now 9600 iv ebeen behind in everything and im trying to meet up with everything bt its hard, imagen not getting in yo own house as if u r a tenant, we are going through a lot already and own haven is not making it easy for us, they dont have a rite to denied us access to our houses, i tried to negotiate with them bt they refuse my offer

Its been 3 weeks since I returned the application form as well as the the non refundable R300 for the application fee. I called them non stop last week to check on the application status only to be told they are still processing. On the original email it states that it could take 3- 5 business days for a response but to my surprise I haven't gotten one yet. Instead today they resent me the application form and requested for another R300 payment towards the application fee even though there hasn't been any feeback yet. Dear Own Haven Property Management it is with great sadness to express our experience in one of your rental accommodation in (SouthernWood Square) in particular. We stayed only 6 months but in that 6 months we experienced numerous challenges which we tried to address through your stipulated line of communication. There is a Tenant Liason Officer, which I won't mention his/her name, that person is pathetic, rude, arrogant and lack communication skills, because he was the one we dealt with from the beginning were always communicating with him via the caretaker on the ground. On our first day occupying the space we had a problem of unbearable smell of Carpets and we reported the matter. Well, you sent the cleaning services company to deal with the issue but nothing changed. We then requested that the Carpets be changed after numerous emails until you sent your team to see the problem. Furthermore, we experienced Roof Leakages which we were never told about. However, we then reported that too and our belongings were affected e.g Furniture, Clothes and Shoes etc because the room was flooded with rainy water. Moreover, in attempts of reporting the above problem of leaks in both rooms, " A communique was issued that the company is aware of the leakages in the affected unit wings but unfortunately the company will deal with that in the next financial year. " It was then when we were promised to be moved to the rooms that are not leaking, however that did not happen. Unfortunately we run out of options but to put a notice to vacate the property. All what needed to be done by the caretaker was done and nothing damaged in the unit everything was still in tact. Pre-Inspections done (Caretaker) Exit-Inspections done (Caretaker) We made sure everything was in order as it were! So to our surprise we were not given our hard earned money that we put as a Deposit and we seek answers from the management with regards to that. In closing, Please employ competent staff in your organisation for repeat business or for some recommendations for future reference. For now allow me to say☹️😡 : We were ****** our money and Do not lie to people you don't know who they are!! 🏘️Room 49 SouthernWood Square, St George's Road SouthernWood, East London is Leaking (Structural Problem) they won't tell you. They are the worst agency I have dealt with. I moved out of a Unit dealing with an agent named Thapelo Boipane. He is such an unpleasant and unprofessional agent to deal with. You will never find him, he never follows up or responds. He ****med me out of my deposit by charging me for bogus fees that he has no proof off. He never showed up on the day of Exit inspection and then proceeded to have fees deducted from my deposit without any official report that he did. I have escalated this to Mikayla Kaschula who then told me that she will come back to me Monday business day of 18 of December and nothing from her too. I have called their offices countless times and still with no response but a very rude email from Thapelo confronting me on what he should have done. The worst agencies to deal with if you are around East London
