Paarl Government Hospital is NOT the place to go with a Referral letter for a Back Injury. At this hospital patients will sit for up to 3 days before being seen. Patients that have deaficated themselves sit in the same waiting room with staff refusing them to be cleaned. The stink is Unbearable. Not to mention how unhygienic it is. When you eventually decide to leave because you can't bear the pain, stink or.wait anymore, you find out your file has been pushed to the bottom of the pile continuosly, while patients that have been there long after you have been assisted and left already. This hospital is Not a good place to go if you need medical assistance. Extremely bad experience.

Hi, Sorry to have rate them one star, because they don't even deserve that. My son's fiancé went down with a possible appendix..... try to phone for the last hour to find out if she is ok. Cannot get through to registration, security or emergency. Nobody answer the phone. Really frustrated and worried. Is this what you get in South Africa not having money to pay for a hospital like Medi Clinic. No service at all. I can see why so many people emigrate. The ones without money just have to suffer in this country. Regards Lorraine

Not enough stars to decorate them. For the second time this year, I as a father, is over the moon, because both my daughters were treated at this hospital and the reports are the same. There was only one hickup with regards to the treatment of my youngest daughter. The night staff of the recovery ward were so rude, that it's actually sad to associate them with this hospital. That was the staff of 11 February 2021. One bad apple will damage the whole box. Apart from that she still sings their praises. From the day she entered until she left with her first born, it was just service of the highest quality and standards. Then the past weekend my eldest daughter was admitted to the surgery ward for an emergency operation. The same story. From the first person until she left on Sunday after the operation, it was just outstanding services. 300% Better than any treatment she'd received from any private hospital she had attended in the past. I cannot leave out any person, not even the security, every body were just amazingly professional. I really want the head of this hospital to be proud of the staff and to make sure that the 1% come to terms to make this hospital the best in this country. As a pensioner I've been in contact with many people who only had bad experiences in provincial hospitals. Sometimes it's dirty, cleaners treat you as a burden, nurses treated you as a nothing, doctors made you off as an object, this negative list just goes on and on. That's why I cannot, and will never stop singing the praises of Paarl Provincial hospital. My plea to those staff members, professionals and ordinary staff, please call on your colleagues to do time at this hospital to learn how to treat citizens of this country. You will reach heights like never before. So keep up the good work and never allow anybody to corrupt or lower your standards. Keep politicians out of your institute, because whatever they are doing, is for alternative reasons, but what you are doing is noble, honest and for your fellow County men and women.
