We enjoy it every time.
I am not sure if management has changed or what might be the case, but we have been to Papa Boa about 10 times in the last year with family and friends. Every time we go there we have great service and the absolute best and filling food around. We even feel that paying a little bit more for their food than other local restaurants is by far worth it as they have huge portions and are very tasty. In our group we have a vegetarian and even the options for her is pretty good. Our absolute favorite is the Francesina sandwich with the beer sauce and best chips in Guateng. I can not think of anything bad to say about the place at all.

no service
no service . today I went to papa boa benoni. I sat there for over 20 minutes without being attended to by any waiter. since they showed me a table and disappeared. even when I waived at them they just looked away and pretend not to see. I ended up leaving. that time I had driven all the way from jh north to enjoy Father's day dinner there. I will never go there again

Pathetic rip off
Good evening, The steak egg and chips that was ordered off the main menu is a total disgrace. The steak was hidden under a fried egg and half of that was just pure fat. I am not a big eater but this is way beyond anything besides theft. The portion was so small that even a lady dining with us said that she has never even seen a kids portion that small. Times may be tough but don’t rip off your customers by serving sub standard, tiny rubbish portions. I will never return – don’t take your loyal customers for idiots. Places like this do not deserve to even be in business. A disgrace and a rip off – shocked and ****ed off. Tony

Papa Boa couldn’t care less!! Disgraceful
Management attitude and customer service is a disgrace to the restaurant and hospitality industry. Took my family for lunch on Sunday 2 January at Lakeside Restaurant in Benoni. Food is as terrible. Each meal was brought out one at a time (we were 4 adults and 2 kids) and the gap between meals was up to an hour. Full Portuguese chicken was cut into portions as if they had salvaged pieces from another customer. Asked manager for kiddies lasagne and he refused to consider offering a half portion for a 7 year old. Said they can take the rest home. Manager was rude and obnoxious and we will never return and spread the feedback throughout our entire group of family and friends not to mention business connections. We all know the restaurant industry has been through trying time sand quite frankly this is one that would be better off closing

DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE
A couple weeks ago I visited Pap Boa for the first time in benoni/boksburg with my husband. 1.The food took about 30-40 mins to arrive 2.The milkshake was not nice and tasted like old melted ice cream was used 3.Food arrived-Prawns was flavourless asked for my steak to be medium to well done and it arrived well done and completely dry 4.Complained and there came a female manager who was so rude and said to us that we were lieing about the food and that she will not charge for the food but we should not return to the restaurant again since we do not like the food... How is that for customer service.

Disappointed
Everything about this place is disappointing. They did not have anything I ordered and when the bill came they charged me for something I didn't even have. They charged me for something on the menu which wasn't even close to what I was served. They argued with me over this. Generally bad service and bad food. Will not recommend to anyone!

Disappointed
Everything about this place is disappointing. They did not have anything I ordered and when the bill came they charged me for something I didn't even have. They charged me for something on the menu which wasn't even close to what I was served. They argued with me over this. Generally bad service and bad food. Will not recommend to anyone!
