I loved the food!! But the service was cold! The waiter was more interested in the table next to us. Personally, I value service so highly that I would rather go to an average restaurant with great service that a restaurant which serves amazing food but with service which is poor. It takes away the joy of dining out! ( I am a good cook) so I go out for the total ambiance.

Service was great but the smell of the outlaying areas is affecting the way we eat meals. Terrible stinch.

Worst service ever, food was terrible. Waited 15 minutes before I could be attended to. When the order had to be changed my partner had already finished eating which defeated the dinning purpose. No team work amongst the waiters as they won't attend to simple requests if the table is not theirs

I met my friend there early evening Thursday just gone 10 March. We waited ages to even be acknowledged let alone offered a drink the service was terrible. We eventually got to order our food a good while later and when it arrived it did not look at all appetizing. I ordered a chicken burger which was certainly not cheap - the chicken tasted like cardboard, the dressing was two very tired bits of lettuce and the chips were stale - the chicken and chips both tasted as if they had been reheated. When we had the audacity to complain to the manager he told us the chips could only be cooked fresh as they were frozen - not at all what you expect from a restaurant pretending to offer fine dining !! He did not want to listen to any of our comments let alone think about apologizing and rather suggested we must leave if we didn't like the meal then proceeded to direct two bouncers to our table to chuck us out - UNBELIEVABLE !!! I have lived in Cape Town 15 years am a 55 year old lady and eat out regularly often three or four times a week and have NEVER EVER been treated in such an appalling manner by the management of a supposed fine dining restaurant !?!

Just to Start off with WE LOVE Paranga. We have had dinner Dates there with our Cycling friends before the Cape Argus, 30 + People. So my Husband and i got Married last Week Saturday 11 April at VREDE & LUST. We spend the whole week in Campsbay for our Honeymoon. We only had one Rule for the week. It was that we are not allowed to eat at the same Restaurant twice this week. So we saved Paranga for last( the Best for last) but when we came the Paranga tonight we had our last bottle of Vrede & Lust wine with us. When the waitress Joyce came to us we said we brought the wine with we'll pay corkage. She just said NO!!! I said we have to drink it before we leave Tomorrow. She looked at us and Said NOT HERE... We were is such good mood coz its our last night of our honeymoon. She just spoiled everything. Her Attitude was terrible. We dont mind if we are not allowed to have our own wine at your Restaurant. Its THE WAY SHE SAID IT... <br> She Spoiled our Last evening. And our good vibe feeling about your Restaurant. You must teach your peronal to commicate with your customers. Its not what they say ITS HOW THEY SAY IT!!!
