They’ve changed their name to Watch Prop, but service levels remain terrible!Don’t let them manage your block. You’ll be in arrears with the council, because they don’t pay the municipal accounts as they should. Avoid!!!!

Did not complete their management lease with myself and they did not follow up at all. They let the house go to ruins and the tenant did not pay their rent leaving over 50 000 on damages and 40 000 in rent and water due. They refunded us 8000 short of our depisit

Permanent trust invests your deposit with themselves, and earns <2% interest per year. They also bill you to repaint the entire apartment if you put a nail in one wall (in spite of the lease stating repainting needs to occur "panel to panel"). Any excuse to charge you - they will, since painting is the tenant's job - best believe they will drain every cent.... whilst at the same time the windows are cracked, and every single frame is rusted, and the ceiling is peeling. Guess who is legally obligated to fix ceilings, and rusted window frames...? Oh that's right, they only care about perfect maintenance when the tenant is responsible.

More then a month ago I notified Permanent Trust that the wall of the security complex at 10 Herman Count Kuilriver, had fallen down. Note this is supposed to be a security complex, but how secure can a complex be if it does not have walls to enclose it. also there has been a few break in's but the owner and this company just does noting amount it. I have emailed my complaint and to date have received no response. Clearly there is absolutely no service and they all about the money.

With COVID 19 we asked the *owner* to accommodate us with our rent as the Company we worked for couldn't pay us. I have send numerous e-mails I was TOLD to complete a form which I did yet it came back NO. What a big AH....he send 91 eviction letters to his tenants in the mean time his flats fall to peaces everything is faulty. They are INHUMANE and the owner of Cindal TRUST trading as permanent trust are the worst people ever to rent for. Mr Owner my wish for you is to rott in hell. You have a black heart. No humanity in you my grandson have more brains and sympathy with people than what you can dream to have.

If I could select no stars - I would. It seems that irregular deposit payouts are processed by the company. No statement accompanies it. When you eventually threaten, a breakdown is sent. This is where my problem came in. According to Permanent Trust's let's cal her "M", our payout is: *** start copy *** • Deposit Amount - R12 550.00 • + Interest - R 35.86 • TOTAL DEPOSIT - R12 585.86 Less Damages - (R3 850.00) Please contact "G" on *** / g@permanenttrust.com TOTAL DEPOSIT REFUNDED : R 8 735.86 *** end copy *** This is what we paid: *** start copy *** We paid: R14755 on 27 October 2017. We were quoted: • Lease fee: R570 • Home owner association levy: R185 (we’re not the owners but we paid it) • Inspection fee: R200 • ITC check, incl VAT at 14%: R200 • Remote deposit: R250 (refundable) • Deposit: R13350 (refundable) Additionaly we paid the R450 deposit increase this year. Please take note that we NEVER received any remotes, but we paid the deposit. Please compare this with your amount and let us know where the difference is, so that we can understand. We would like to know about the interest of R35.86 – was this on the amount you quoted below, or on the actual amount we paid displayed as R13350 + R450 in the attached “Schedule of Cost.doc” and “Notification of increase.docx” documents? *** end copy *** We contact both "M" and "G" numerous times - my husband spoke to "G" who on checkout inspection when we left said there were no damages, pointed out that they deducted the "damages" to paint the unit - and that he would speak to "M" about where the balance of the payout is. No reply. Nothing. My question to the very silent owner of the Blanc de Noir units would be - are you aware that money is being withheld without explanation? If you're wondering why so many units are standing empty - like ours which up until now have received no paint - do you know that it is not being managed properly? Because, even when you take the money off for paint - and add the ridiculous amount of R35 earned over 2.5 years on interest seems very strange but ... what about the difference between what we actually paid in, and was paid out? Somebody there isn't very honest. My next step is the law, as I already know that I have a case - but hopefully future tenants can be made aware of this strange setup and ways of things being deducted and that they too - as many before us (that I've read about) - may fall prey to this.
