I am very disappointed with the lack of feedback regarding a claim I submitted to Pickfords earlier this year. On 4 February 2026, I submitted the requested claim documentation and photos after being asked to do so. I was then informed that the claim was registered on 6 February 2026 and that I would receive feedback from the insurance administration within 15 working days. Since then, I have sent several follow-up emails (11 February, 24 February, and additional follow-ups afterwards), but I have not received any meaningful response or update regarding the progress of my claim. The lack of communication is extremely frustrating, especially since the timeframe for feedback has long passed. I would appreciate an update on the status of my claim and a clear indication of when this matter will be resolved. For context, the damage occurred during the move, and I also noted that the coffee table and pedestals were not wrapped when they arrived, which may have contributed to the damage. I hope this review will prompt someone from Pickfords to urgently investigate the matter and provide feedback on my claim.

I had a very disappointing experience with Pickfords during my move from Johannesburg to Cape Town. A box containing important personal items was misplaced during the move, and since then I have been taken from pillar to post with little to no meaningful assistance or accountability. Communication has been poor, follow-ups have gone unanswered, and there has been no clear ownership of the issue. For a company that positions itself as a professional removal service, the lack of care, transparency, and customer support has been extremely frustrating. Moving is already a stressful process, and this experience added unnecessary anxiety and inconvenience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Pickfords to anyone looking for a reliable or customer-focused removal company.

Thank you very much, Pickfords Local/National/Worldwide furniture Removals. You guys are truly one of the best furniture Removals. I chose you especially because of your extremely low negative reviews compared to others. Plus, Dina Fernandes regularly checked in, dropped off various size of boxes, special wrap sheets papers, large plastic wrap roll and few cellotape rolls for packing and advice for save packing. The A-Team took care of everything afterwards – uploaded, save transport and offloading. There were absolutely no hiccups. Thanks again, Pickfords – you're top-notch! 🤗

I chose you especially because of your extremely low negative reviews compared to others. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Pickfords for the professional service we have received. We had very specific requirements and they made every effort to meet them all. Damage was limited to minor bruise marks to one wooden surface. Apart from that we did not experience any other damage, breakages or losses. The Pickfords team was most professional and handled our belongings with the greatest care and respect. I do not hesitate to recommend Pickfords to anybody who wishes to relocate as painlessly and stress-free as possible. Well done, guys. Keep up the good work!

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Pickfords for the professional service we have received. We had very specific requirements and they made every effort to meet them all. ********** service received. The delivery staff damaged mom's antique yellowwood Sideboard. Only for them to collect damaged my dining room wall that the cement came out. They had it for weeks only to return it in worse condition. Had it collected again to be repaired professionally yet was not. Was delivered after 4 months and upon delivery they damaged the door on the sideboard. Would not recommend them at all.

Worst experience with a removal company of my life! The unpacking left my house devastated, total mess. Kitchen stuff in kids rooms, expensive items on the floor, boxes of things left in the garden!?! So so many broken and missing items. This despite huge effort on our side prior to the move to carefully sort every cupbourd in the house. A sorted tidy start left in total destruction. Staff standing around doing nothing, and leaving super early before job was done.More than 2 months later my complaint is still being ignored and my claim unprocessed despite the fact that I paid for insurance. Managers shift blame between the branch responsible for pick-up and off loading. I will never ever even consider using their services again.

Pickofords do not even deserve 1 star. The service promised by Mr Reggie Moodley was disappointing, to say the least. The relocation was from Pretoria to Kimberley over December 2024—unprofessional staff, who took their time to pack up the house. Then the next day, everything was a rush. Unaccounted boxes, damaged furniture, bed brackets lost, etc. No unpacking of glassware was done in Kimeberley, which was allegedly part of the quote and service. Never use Pickfords. Mr Moodley promised excellent service and failed to deliver. Since our claim fell outside their 7-day period, they refuse to honour the claim. Impossible to unpack boxes within 7 days, especially over the December period. Pickfords and your insurance underwriters, you should hang your heads in shame! To squibble over a payout of a few thousand rands and let your name fall in disgrace says a lot about your company and the lack of respect and ethics.
