Kids and adults favourite ice cream. Very happy with the dhlamini junction branch. About time Soweto had a branch of it's own.

Dlamini Junction- what a bad customer service from the lady at the till..She was being rude for no reason when I asked her if I’m allowed to change flavour of ice cream after paying, she just looked at me and called the next customer without responding. That was rude.

I have neeever come across such a RUDE, impolite and ill-mannered person in my life. Not sure if the guy is a manager or what but his behaviour is appalling. Not only is he rude to the customers but the staff as well. He got so angry because I had many coins and said he doesn't have time for people who had 'change' because I'm an inconvenience to his customers. After that he left me hanging and told my cousin there was no more Strawberry sensation but a minute later he got angry at one of the staff members that he sold us the very same Strawberry sensation that was apparently ''no more". He continued to swear the guy and said that the Strawberry sensation was for his customers. The other day he got into a dispute with some ladies because of his disgusting behaviour. Instead of telling them nicely to please queue outside he got angry and started insulting them. His behaviour is totally unacceptable he can't be working with people and continue to behave as if he's working with animals. Not even animals deserve that kind of behaviour. @Polar ice cream you really need to do something about this, imagine your entire day being ruined by someone when you're already going through a lot only because he thinks it's okay to behave like that. He is nothing compared to the other staff members because they are so nice and friendly. This guy needs to be dealt with

Firstly , I would like to mention that I absolutely love the ice cream, the quality and the price points My gripe is that when you purchase a standard cone for the soft serve five out of ten times it leaks from the bottom of the cone ,which destroys the ice cream experience I have brought this to the attention of the manageress at the Woodmead branch and she suggesting swopping to a sugar cone which adds 100 % more to the cost of the ice cream or alternatively she suggests buying a better quality cone from the shelf in 12 or 24's So that means that Polar instead of improving the quality of their standard cones , knowingly sell defective /poor quality cones I buy from the woodmead branch about 4 times a week

I’m writing this review out of sheer frustration and disappointment with the customer service at the Polar Ice Cream branch at mall@55, Raslouw. On two separate occasions, I have experienced unacceptable and shockingly rude treatment from the lady working at the till. On both visits, I was told to leave the store and “wrap up my purchase” well before the official closing time. On the second visit, I arrived 10 minutes before closing and urgently requested a specific item. I explained that I would be quick, but was abruptly told, “We are closed. We can’t help you.”—despite it clearly not being closing time yet. The tone and attitude were unnecessarily harsh and dismissive. As a regular customer who has supported this store and recommended it to many friends and family, I did not expect this level of poor service. It’s incredibly disheartening to be treated with such disrespect—especially when the issue occurred not once, but twice. If this is the standard of customer service Polar Ice Cream finds acceptable, I will be reconsidering my support and where I spend my money going forward.

I would like to express how deeply upsetting the customer service was at the Polar branch Gatesville in Carrick Road this afternoon. It was my first time going into the store and no where was there any signage or instruction on how to place your order. I stood in line with the 5L ice cream from the freezers in store and by the time I came to the till point I was angrily told how I should have placed my order for the king cones and lollies earlier, which how could I have possibly known this beforehand. The store was full and the Cashier by the surname Rawoot kept telling me why the worker bringing the items out got so mad because I did not know the process. She then proceeds to abruptly talk to me with an attitude explaining what I should do when coming in. The store was full and I felt it was not an appropriate time to tell the Cashier off, out of respect that she was older than me. I cannot express how angry I felt leaving the store making my experience horrible! I treated the cashier with utmost respect only saying “ok” because I was taken aback by her way of speaking. Please educate your staff on customer service mannerism. Thank you.
