I- am delighted with the service of King Price -especially Charity who phoned me back after my email last night.. explained in detail what I requested and it was the best service I had from anybody - including, 4 hospitals out of 5, the only good doctor & care I had during the whole of December was dr Zingoni at ZAHospital in Pretoria,
I sent King Price an email regarding money, a car charger, a pair of pliers am and a bar of chocolateand a Woolworths bag worth around R8000.00 and wanted to know whether I am covered for payment of this amount. I never received a reply, just an automated reply.
We were told not to pay the rates account by management of Bergvallei Retirement Complex - we were waiting for the court to rule which was that it was ******* and I now have an account of over R1200,00 which I queried as there is still an ******* charge for waste removal. I wrote to query, but just had an automated reply, giving a ticket number.
I telephoned Discovery regarding home cre and they told me that I will be covered for home care but then received a letter that I am NOT covered and we now have to pay for 24 hours care.
I had an awful experience there, the dr refused to speak to me or my son who is director of ICU in Chelsea Westtminister hospital in UK and I left there with bruises, an infected left arm and I would NEVER go there again. There was a 94 year old lady who broke her hip and leg and I had Tory and find someone to give her a ZAHospital where dr Zingoni treated me and she did a wonderful job, communicating with my son, daughter and me as my own Dr Noeth was away on leave and told my children that she would trust her own parents to be treated y her. I will tell all the other elderly people on my floor in a Retirement Complex to ask the sister to put in their medical files that they will only use ZAHospital and no other.
We went to SuperSpar in Pilanesberg near African Kingdom Resort and they refused to five 5% pensioner’s discount. This is not the first time this happened to me, the other was Spar in Montana (since closed down) but the Kwikspar in Wapadrand and the SuperSpar in Montana give me the pensioner’s discount. This is disturbing as they freely advertise the discount and I produced my pensioner’s card but they refused. This is unfair/misleading information and something should< be done about that‼️
Spar has a wonderful “CADH BACK” promotion and when I bought some items on their leaflet yesterday, they handed me back R1000.00 cash reward. This is due until 7 October 2025 - tomorrow and I can recommend it to anybody. They have a leaflet available with all products available such as sugar, wheat cake flour, sunlight liquid, Ono and many other items. Well done to them‼️
I live in a retirement complex in Pretoria North and found out that food not collected by residents after 2pm the next day is thrown away. I offered to collect the food before they throw it away to hand out to the gardeners, cleaners and other staff working on the property, but was told that it is agains the healthcare law!! This makes no sense to me as there are so many homeless, poor, unemployed people who would welcome at least one meal a day and if it is thrown away people and children eat from the ******* bags and dumps. IT IS SHOCKING!!!
After several complaints, requests, promises from their side, they STILL have not settled my claim, despite all the requested documentation requested were submitted by me. I get repeated messages that they are processing the request which will take 2-5 days but nothing happened after at least 5 requests.
After SEVERAL requests and submitting all information requested, I have STILL not been reimbursed for a claim for chronic medications which I had to pay myself. I cannot phone them and their WhatsApp is useless!! I am a State Pensioner cod cannot afford to oay their enormous monthly contributions and then have to oay for chronic medications which I with a. Laid prescription, invoice and proof of payment.
