PlixiTV SA, a service provided by Cyril in Fish Hoek is a ****. I was assured I'd see all the live cricket games broadcast by DSTV sports via PlixiTV. Rather than see cricket I keep getting a black screen telling me "No broadcast at present". Cyril purs the blame on me, but he knows very well that DSTV blocks the broadcast. Same happens when the Springbok Rugby games are taking place. Cyril takes your money, but does not provide the service you paid for.
I'm very critical when it comes to food at restaurants. But I'm pleased to report that we had an awesome time, enjoying my Mom's farewell dinner at Dixies on Thursday evening. Very talented waitress and the food was out of this world.
Floors were dirty, even pieces of glasson the floor upon arrival. Shower drain was blocked, we called the Operator Room to report it, yet no one answered. We had to sort it out ourselves. Both armchairs as well as the two seater couch were extremely uncomfortable, one doesn't have a cushion in the backrest, the others have holesin the seats. The braai stand was filthy, old ash and cigarette butts in itand the arwa around it hadn't been swept for ages. On both nights, the noise from the neighbors was deafening, yet security just ignored it. Thank goodness load shedding forced their noise to silence. And we paid over R1000 per night for this😡
In a world flooded with fraud and corruption, why in heavens name is Standard Bank calling me and sending me emails to update my details. Surely Standard Bank must know that anyone awake to the levels of fraud and corruption going around, it is not safe to share details over the phone or via emails.
Leonard was a star today, 21 January 2022. I wanted to surprise my friend with a visit to a farm in the Franschhoek region and decided to turn in at Babylonstoren. Never been there before, so I felt a little lost. But we found our way to Babel Restaurant where we were told they are fully booked. As we left the building, we saw 3 men talking and we saw a "Golf cart" or 2. So Nella approached the gentlemen and asked if we can get a lift to our vehicle (due to the heat we were struggling on our feet). Leonard told us that the golf carts are usually only for stay-in clients, however he will help us. So as we left, I told him that we had hoped to get a little snack for lunch. He immediately turned the cart around and told us he is taking us to the Greenhouse Restaurant, no need for booking. We obtained a lovely takeaway lunch there. I informed Leonard that we had limited time and he assured us he will see that we are back at our vehicle by 13h45. And believe me, Leonard kept his promise. On our way to the vehicle, I informed him that Nella has undergone repeated heart surgery, and she told him she has a pacemaker, a heart monitor and something else to her heart. No ways, could she walk so far, especially in today's heat. So in a nutshell, had Leonard not assisted us, we would have made our way back to our vehicle and gone home with long faces. Instead, we left the farm with big smiles on our faces and I look forward to visiting Babylonstoren again one day. Thank you Leonard!
As I do so often, I requested 5 x Streetwise 1's with Mash, Gravy & Loaf and I always specifically ask for Side Breast Pieces. This time I was told I can only get 2 Side Breasts. I asked if they have run out. I was told "No, nut you can't take all Side Breast." What a cheek, I pay for what I order. To top it up, I called the KFC Customer Care Line, only to be told in effect, if they supplied me 5 Side Breast there might not be enough for the next customer. Just as cheeky as at the branch.
Justin Ford gets a gold star for helping me last Wednesday. Despite him running between what looked to me like three different post, he was so friendly, helpful, positive and it really rubbed off on me. I just tell everyone I know in Port Alfred to go to Justin at Clicks for their vaccine.
Over the past ten years, my husband and I have given Stor-Age, Tokai 8 clients, including ourselves for 2 years. At present there is a total of 10 units rented by our referrals or their friends whom they referred and that I know about. This morning I made a simple request: To park a trailer overnight coming Friday night. The purpose of the trailer is for one of the users of Stor-Age, in fact he at present is hiring 5 units (Big units). And my request was turned down blank. No loyalty to your long-term clients. Disgusting! And by the way, we also referred many other to different branches of Stor-Age across the Western Cape, including Roland Street, Cape Gate/Durbanville, Brackenfell/Protea Heights to mention a few
At the Steenberg PnP, Front-end staff as well as those on the floor are very helpful, friendly and a great pleasure to deal with. That counts for management too.
Promotion label reads "NESCAFE Classic Assorted Instant Coffee" R64.99, but at the teller it scans R127.99. Every excuse in the book. They say "The advert states 'Excluding Decaf'". I replied "I didn't see an adverti*****t; I going according to the promotional label on the shelf." Then the word "Instant" is brought up. Classic Defac is just as Instant as Classic and Classic Strong. After waiting ages for the manager, he tells me that the White Printed label below the Classic Decaf does not indicate R64.99 and I told him neither the Classic not Classic Strong have white labels indicating R64.99. He was insistent "Assorted" excludes Decaf. There is no logic, three assortments on the shelf, no indication that any is excluded. I expect to pay the promotional price as indicated.
