After the response from Isabella Garcia on Hello Peter after my review, followed by an apology call from them and agreeing that I had paid up the account, Isabelle then reported to Hello Peter that I had falsified information on Hellow Peter. I had to then provide proof of payment to keep my account open on Hellow Peter. This is shocking.
A word of advise for anyone on a re-payment plan. DO NOT pay before the 1st of the month as this confuses the financial people then they claim you havent paid that month. Only pay on the 1st or later. They have no idea how to run their books. Rather prevent having an account with Woolworth altogether and have an account with a store that has control of their books like Edgars and many others.
If Dischem health do not pay for what you are covered for as in my case, lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman https://healthombud.org.za. They dont pay for anything so DO NOT consider them as an option, nor do they even try to resolve just take your money.
I was buying product and after my last purchase years ago I received a package. I assumed this to be the gift package and I had being paying. After years of a battle I decided to just settle this amount. Now that I have settled I am still getting demands to pay from their debt collector. They have no clue what is going on with their books. Never purchase a product from them again and dont believe that their gifts to you will be free. Years later you will have to pay for what you didnt order.
If you enter into a payoff plan with Woolworths, they change the rules as and when they want, even though you are honering the agreement for months if not years. Then they threaten to hand you over even though you have been paying. You complain but they do nothing about rectifying the obvious error. Woolworths services are the worst and if you want to open an account with them, think again!
in one week I had stopped breathing for a shortwhile followed by couphing up blood. The 3rd time was particularly bad as I had difficulty in breathing and was couping up huge amounts of blood and throwing up. I was also dehydrated. My husband rushed me to Busamed Hillcrest emergencies. I was apparantly covered for all of the above symptoms as emergency with Dischem Health. The emergencies informed us that they tried to get pre-authorization and this was declined and we had to pay cash. When challenging Dischem, they denied that any pre-authorisation was attempted and requested proof. When approaching the Busamed Hospital, they claimed that this was not considered and emergeny and denied providing proof of them obtaining pre-authorisation. Does one have to completely stop breathing before this is considered to be an emergency. I feel that this hospital is not taking the patients best health to heart and are neglegent in their approach.
I have concluded that I would rather die than have to go back to this shocking hospital. Below is a list of my reasons: 1. The doctors are rude and treat patients worse than they would treat a dog. They shout at the patients because they make mistakes and demand answers from patients. They don’t follow procedures and it would appear that they hate their jobs. They are unhelpful. Only one doctor was decent to help me try resolve my health issue since the systems are hacked. 2. There are no signs as to what and where to go to and what is required to be done when the patient has an appointment. They failed to provide a file for me and a blue card when making the appointment. 3. I was shouted at for not having a blue card but ignored by them and not told what I was to do to get a card. 4. At the main desk, a very rude man and women address you and tell you to go to the wrong place only to sit for hours. When approaching them they give you half an answer on what to do and where to go. I had to rely on other patients to help guide me. 5. I stood in a que for ages to get a file and blue card where I was told to go. The woman assisting me sent me to a different que to get the file and blue card. When I finally get to the counter, I was told to go back to the que I was sent away from. I then got angry and told them I was there. The woman who sent me away was only 2 seats away from the current que. I was told to go back to the 1st counter, and they would assist. I was then shouted at by the other patients for jumping the que (understandably). 6. There doesn’t seem to be a functional system. 7. I could not get the relevant tests done and was told I would have to wait for months for a test to be done. I have been seriously ill for 7 months and don’t have months to wait. 8. I was told that there were other tests they don’t do like lung function tests even though there were boxes labelled with this specific test. I was told that only Albert Latuli could do a lung function test. They refused to give me a referral letter and was told to go back to my doctor to get the letter. My doctor told me I had to go to my local hospital to get this referral letter. I then missed an appointment at Albert Latuli because I was told by R K Kahn doctors that I had to do the test at this hospital not Albert Latuli, but they couldnt do the tests so why not refer me. When approaching the doctor she was rude and refused to talk to me. 9. The doctor shouted at me for missing this appointment at Albert Lathuli and wasn’t really interested in what I had to explain. 10. I eventually had to say that I am not a doctor they are I am a sick patient that needs help to get better. I have no idea what the procedures and am only following what I am told to do. The general feel it that everyone hates their jobs and doing the public a massive favour to be there. If the NHI bill comes in place there is no point in hiring more people if they just don’t want to work and get your procedure and pamphlets sorted out to help new patients with processes and procedures.
Was rushed in for an emergency last night. All staff and doctors were friendly and helpful and really professional. A big thanks to the night shift staff.
Any that if foolish enough to have a Dis-chem insurance, get rid of it now. I had a medical emergency and according to my policy I was covered for at least 3 of the conditions. When one stops breathing for 1 - 2 minutes followed by couphing up blood and dehydrated, apparantly this is not considered as an emergency. So, does one have to die before its considered an emergency. Nothing at all was covered. When calling the manageress I was told nothing was an emergency and if I had stopped breathing I would be dead, She was rude and unhelpful. Basically you are not covered for much if anything at all. I have escalated to the ombudsman now to lodge official complaint, but there is no point in paying for something where there is absolutely no cover.Rather go for entry level at Discovery. You will at least be covered for something.
Now that I have recovering from the trauma of what took place at this hotel, I feel less emotional to provide a review. My Doctor instructed me to take a quiet break as I was heading from a stroke. Being over 60 and have illnesses, rest is imperative for my health. On a positive note: The manageress and another male helping her run the facilities were helpful and friendly. What took place below was out of control for her to manage and could have even be a threat to her life and she should not be held accountable. The facilities are nothing like the pictures. It is bare and uninteresting and run down. Certain facilities they offer are not available. The room we stayed in, the curtains were black with Mold and the paint pealing off in the bathroom due to damp. The shower did not work properly. The Mold could be detrimental to me due to my illnesses. However, we made the best of what we had and had 4 quiet and peaceful days with different people and different cultures in and out. Everyone abided to the rules, clearly stating no noise or disruption after 7pm. My nightmare break started on the Thursday afternoon and the short version is when ANC Government officials arrived ( doubt if there were enough bedrooms to cater for the amount of people arriving over the 2 days). One claiming to be the mayor of Eastern Cape. They took over the lounge behind our bathroom, and as more and more people arrived they took over the table next to the table we use directly outside our room. Then half the bottle store arrived and the noise was unbearable. We moved our table to the end of the pool. The apparent mayor did not like this and came to our table making loud phone calls. I asked him politely to move to the other side of the pool to make calls. He got aggressive and demanded the reason. I told him that I would like to eat my diner in peace and quiet. He responded by shouting at me calling me a white ****** *****. He proceeded back to his party and they were loudly insulting us saying we must go back to the Netherlands etc. Then the ladies, who appeared to be **********s, started arriving and the noise was out of control. By 12 pm I asked the guard to get them to quieten down as we needed sleep. He initially refused until I demanded the telephone no of the owner. He and the manager tried to quiet them down resulting in us being further insulted by them. One person grabbed me and wanted to throw me in the pool. Other guests tried to assist me and they were insulted. Both of us called the police who never arrived. The manageress asked the guard to call the police and he probably didn’t. These guests packed up at 12pm and left in fear of their lives. I tried to contact the owner but went to a message that he will call back. I left a sms and he never responded. They left the biggest mess ever and went out to party. The next evening was even worse, so I started sound recording the noise to prove to the owner the noise they made and record any insults I might get. One of the woman attacked me verbally and called me racial names and swearing at me. We called the police several times. 10111 didn’t bother arriving. One of the political officials tried to break into our bedroom, and insulted us further. During the shuffle to keep door closed I was physically damaged. The police arrived and advised us they could do nothing about this noise which was now 2am, since it was private property and only the owner can call before they could take action even though I showed them my physical damages. We tried to call the owner but no response. The hotel manageress tried several times to get hold of the guard who wouldn’t answer her calls finally she did and told him to get them under control. This was 3am. We had no sleep for 2 nights now. We then packed up and left before we were due to.
