I wanted to share an unfortunate experience I had with a pool repair and resurfacing job that I undertook in November of last year. After four years of putting it off, I finally decided to bite the bullet and get my pool fixed by taking out a loan. I obtained two quotes and eventually chose Jamie from Aqua Marine Pools (Also AquaScape). Important to note, the quote included a two-year warranty as stated via WhatsApp. Additionally, when I inquired about VAT inclusion, I was given the run-around, which in hindsight, should have been my first red flag regarding their integrity. From the outset, the project was a disaster. Suddenly, my previously functional pool pump was deemed to need replacing. I trusted Jamie, thinking, "He’s the professional, and he wouldn’t cheat me, right?" Then, my timer, which was also working fine before, was going to be taken out. But again, trusting the professional, I let it happen. The job was completed in an appallingly poor manner. The inlets weren't installed correctly, the pool light was, and remains, non-functional, and some cabling was left hanging and exposed to the elements – this still hasn't been fixed. Weatherproof junction boxes were removed, the electrical DB box was left hanging off the side of my pump housing, and the pipes were broken and replaced with ones so close to the surface that they might as well be surface-mounted. The overall quality was shockingly bad. Although certain parts of this were later corrected, the overall work completed was not of an acceptable standard. To make matters worse, my garden was completely destroyed, and I am still clearing the ******* left all over my property. Strangely, the two expensive items that were *****not working***** were removed from my property. Fast forward four months, and the pool has cracked, dumping 20,000 liters of water in just four days. Naturally, I referred to the two-year warranty and contacted Jamie - fully understanding that this might be an infrastructure issue (however that should have been picked up during the initial repair works). As expected (due to previous experience), he made promises via WhatsApp but never showed up. Disappointed, but not surprised. Legal action might be taken All I can say is to ensure you double-check references from previous clients, not just suppliers or contractors, when considering this particular installer. Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience. I hope this helps others avoid the same pitfalls.
Aquamarine Pools - Subcontract to Quality Pools I wanted to share an unfortunate experience I had with a pool repair and resurfacing job that I undertook in November of last year. After four years of putting it off, I finally decided to bite the bullet and get my pool fixed by taking out a loan. I obtained two quotes and eventually chose Jamie from Aquamarine Pools, who was subcontracted to Quality Pools. Important to note, the quote included a two-year warranty as stated via WhatsApp. Additionally, when I inquired about VAT inclusion, I was given the run-around, which in hindsight, should have been my first red flag regarding their integrity. This has got to be the worst courier company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Yet again a government selected provider has proven that they are incapable of delivering to any form of SLA signed. Absolutely ***ing disgusting. I am about to log a case of theft against them.
Do not buy from Builders Warehouse online ever This has now become an absolute joke! After more than one request for feedback, I finally got a phone call from your team who extremely rudely asked whether I would be at home – the person who phoned me must have been one of the rudest people I have dealt with in years. I then got a notification at 14h16, from your courier company, who confirmed that I would be at home today – so I left work and rushed home. I got my invoice and got confirmation that the package had been collected by the courier company, and then I sat and waited, and waited, and waited for a delivery that on the 1st of April was going to be delivered within 2 to 5 days. It is now the 8th of April. And here I sit with no way of contacting anybody because it is now outside of business hours, and no goods for which I have paid have been delivered. As I am sure you are aware, if you pay for something and the money goes off your account that item belongs to you – if you no longer have the item, that surely constitutes theft? This is now reaching a level of a very badly directed comedy. Your lack of respect for your customers, and their time is absolute **********. Your lack of respect for the money your customers spend with you is sad.
If you join this gym make sure you know you are in it for life. No matter what you do, no matter how often you call, no matter how often you email - your requests to cancel your membership get ignored. When they finally acknowledge your cancellation they continue billing you. I find it incredibly sad that Discovery Medical aid continue supporting this gym as a partner, and perhaps Discovery should consider not supporting companies with poor accounting practices
Received message that delivery would be the 24th - with absolutely no further messages my paid for delivery never arrived. When I mailed them I got "Message deleted without being read" return mails. You take a day's leave, you pay for an item, you pay for delivery and Skynet don't have the basic customer service to explain that their SMS about a delivery date was a lie
20h15 on 26 September I set off my panic alarm. No call. 20h35 I set my alarm off again. Finally got a call at 20h42. Explained there were two armed men on my property. At 21h35 I still have had no response team. I eventually found their number and phoned them. The suspects are still on my property. 10 minutes later still nothing.
Good day • On the 2nd of June 2023 (101 days ago), I reported activity on my bank account related to a Vodacom contract which I have never signed – I am not a Vodacom client • On the 12th of June 2023, you assigned a reference number (reference number) and requested me to complete a form. This was done and submitted back to you on the 14th of June (89 days ago) • On the 1st of August 2023, I asked you to respond to my mail send on the 12th of June – this is a gap of 50 days which should be more than sufficient for your ***** department to respond • On the 1st of August 2023, you assigned a new reference number (new reference number), and requested more information. • On the 4th of August 2023, I responded with the additional forms, avidavits, copies of ID’s, etc – this of course is 63 days since I originally asked you to look into this *****ulent activity • On the 1st of September, I again asked you to respond to a mail (sent on the 4th of August) – again a good gap of no response from you of 28 days • On the 8th of Septemper, I again asked you to respond to a mail (sent on the 4th of August) I can only assume that your lack of response means that you expect me to either cave and pay for a contract that I never signed, or that you yourselves are complicit in this ***** Kindly respond to my mail Regards
Watch this space, I am reporting The Bed Shop Woodmead for credit card fraud
I have visited Mr Price Sport Woodmead on three seperate occassions, on all three occassions multiple staff members have stood at the tills and not served customers - and only one till has been serving. Yesterday, the 15th of October, the only staff member who was working her till would only serve black customers, and completely ignored me and my daughter (as did the other four staff members standing around the tills). I am completely horrified at the lack of service, and the overt racism shown. We dumped our potential purchases and went to Mr Price Sport in Mall of Africa (where we DID GET SERVED)
