I ordered some furniture from Mr Price Home last week. As it was the end of the week I didn't expect it to ship till Monday. As expected the parcel shipped on the 8th of August. Great right. Wrong. It has been sitting in a warehouse in Klerksdorp since then. The website said it would arrive on the 13th. Yesterday came and went and no parcel. I called them this morning and was told I would get the parcel tomorrow (Friday) What is the holdup and why has it been sitting in the warehouse since the 8th. I expect better service from such a company considering they are charging me R800 for shipping. This is ridiculous. If you are going to charge a fortune at least get the product here on time or keep the buyer updated as to when IT WILL ACTUALLY ARRIVE so that you don't sit around like a fool waiting.
I was forced to use a courier this week because the company I purchased from wouldn't ship my item. The courier guy charged me R370 for a parcel under a Kilogram to go from Johannesburg to Kroonstad. In my eyes this is blatant overcharging and I expect better from such a large and supposedly successful company. When I contacted them they blew me off with a standard reply that this was the normal rate. They charged the for a 31kg parcel when my parcel probably only weighed 1kg if that much. What a *******.
I bought a beautiful fountain pen from Houtenpen in Sandton a week ago. My mom, who I bought the pen for, wanted blue ink instead of black ink. We like in a small town so we don't have a fancy stationer which means I had to buy the ink online. I contacted Houtenpen to find out what brand of ink to buy so that it would fit into the pen. They sent me a link for ink on Takealot. I promptly bought the ink and waited for it to arrive. It arrived and the cartridges were too short and too fat to fit the pen. Why is it so hard to get correct information from this company. I would like to know why they gave me the wrong information.
My game keeps getting stuck on updating. I have had to unstall and reinstall the game several times. This is over 100GB download each time. It is exhausting and frustrating and I pay a lot to play this game. Why can't someone help me. And yes I have tried all the tips online on how to get the game to work. Not one does anything. I ordered a parcel online at the end of November. On the 27th it was scanned into their branch at Elandsfontein. It has been sitting there ever since. I have phoned numerous times but nobody has gotten back to me about it yet. I keep getting told they are looking into it. I wouldn't recommend using this courier at all. The service is terrible. The lady I spoke to this morning told me my parcel is on hold. What does that mean? Beware this courier service.
Good Afternoon. I received my order no 112228039 from Takealot. It was a quite expensive Lego set. The box arrived looking like someone used it for a game of football. You could also see that the box had been opened and resealed. I have checked and it looks like everything is there but the service is terrible. There was no warning about the box being in the shape it was. I would not have bought it if there was. I expect better from Takealot.
A few days ago my dad bought a shirt from Mr Price Sport in Kroonstad. A John 20 ssl Crew Jacquard. It is a skin tight shirt that he wanted to wear under his clothes. When he tried it on at home it didn't fit. I then went to Mr. Price Sport to return it and was told that I could not. The reason was that they treat these clothes like underwear. The problem is the cashier forgot to tell my dad that when he bought it or he would definitely have tried it on before purchasing it. There was also no signage near the clothes stating this fact. During this Pandemic when money is tight and nobody can afford the wastage of clothes that don't fit I think this should not be something that happens. Please either put up signage or make sure your cashiers let a person know that the item is non returnable. We are now out R199.99 for an item that doesn't fit. There are families out there that cannot afford mistakes like this. I have no wish to pick a fight I just want to make you aware of this so that we can prevent it from happening again.
