Ah, Discovery — when will you wake up and realize that 2026 means members are more aware of their conditions and can tell what’s approved and what isn’t? The line is so fine it’s barely visible. More than ever, we know most conditions require more than one specialist — often within the same field, with similar degrees but slightly different specialisms. It doesn’t take a “Google Dr” to see that Discovery has been shortchanging members long before the internet existed. Now they can’t hide.
The experience I received from Andre and his team was exemplary. They are one of the few providers I can trust and rely on — they always deliver.
Subject: Feedback — Woodmead Centre Branch The Woodmead Centre branch has been a problem for years. Calling is useless and there’s never any communication about repeat prescriptions, so I don’t waste time waiting for SMS updates that never come. Today I needed to know when my current script expires but was expected to queue just to get that information. I’m not calling again. A Clicks has opened nearby, so I’ll be taking my business there. Goodbye — from an ex-loyal customer.
On 13 December, after two consecutive weeks of severe trauma (the loss of my pet and a car accident), I suffered a breakdown. Without proper consultation with my family, Dr Mathebula referred me to Life Brackenview, about an hour from my home. Had she taken more time, she would have known that I am epileptic. At Life Brackenview my anti‑epileptic medication was stopped, and the facility was clearly not briefed about my condition. This resulted in life‑threatening seizures and what is called TSD, which I believe constitutes dangerously *********** care. I request confirmation of measures to prevent this from happening to others
The two stars are only because they at least rep****, but they gave no details about cancelling my account due to *****, which I’m only being told about now, on 30/03. I hope it’s been resolved and is live by now.
Two stars for answering calls, zero stars for being completely unhelpful and arrogant. I want to speak to a human who can explain what’s happening with my account — I can no longer open the app and my subscriptions to LinkedIn, ChatGPT, and Spotify have bounced. Has my card been blocked? I can still use it in shops, so I’m confused: suddenly my subscriptions fail and my app is disabled. This is a major inconvenience. Please resolve immediately — unlike the consultant who put me on hold for over 10 minutes (using my data). What a hassle.
11/10 — exceptional service. The technicians showed remarkable professionalism and physical strength. They were determined to find the fault and successfully fixed it. My call was from the Gallo Manor area; I didn’t have time to note their names because I was so relieved and impressed. Their technical knowledge and efficiency were outstanding — highly recommended!
Anyone reading this — 11/10! After a really stressful car accident, Thabo and his colleagues like Nomsa guided me through every step with calm, care, and clear communication. What started as a horrible experience became manageable because of their kindness, professionalism, and personal touch honestly better than any service I’ve had from other industries. I’m so grateful to Budget for having a team that genuinely cares. I won’t be insuring my car or business anywhere else. Budget has me completely covered. For the past few weeks I’ve been working around the clock to meet an impossible three‑week deadline, gathering documents going back 10 years to satisfy Budget and finalise my insurance payout. I’ve done everything asked — police‑signed documents, original registration forms, and I’ve even paid for a new car licence — but I still can’t get a clear answer from the otherwise helpful Budget team. Nothing moves quickly with ENatis and I urgently need a break. I’m working and have other commitments and cannot put my life on hold. Everything will be ready by Thursday, but I need your help: please grant a short extension or intervene so this can be finalised without further delay.
I just spoke with Nistashia, and I haven’t felt this relieved in a long time. After a very traumatic accident, knowing that the company kept all the documents Budget needs to process the payout has taken a huge weight off my shoulders.
