On the 26th of June 2024 I submitted a claim with Santam for a lost Laptop. My case was assigned to a Assesor by the name of Adrian Miller who physically came to my house for further assessment and questioning. I have co operated and gave Mr Miller all information and documentation he required but till this day a month and a few days later I do not have an outcome from Santam. its quite shocking that a big insurance company like Santam doesn't take its customers serious.It's quite evident to me that Santam doesn't want to compensate or replace my laptop I mean why drag a laptop claim for over a month? .This is shocking and uncalled for .
On the 27th of June 2024 I submitted a claim for a lost laptop which occurred at Randburg Johannesburg. I went to go report a case at Randburg police station and i submitted a claim . I was requested to submit affidavit and a proof of purchase of which I did. I was further allocated a claims consultant, the claims consultant did not give any feedback until I made a call and was advised that my consultant is on leave. I Further asked for someone else to assist and I was not assisted, which is quite shocking that when a consultant goes on leave, no one can take over a case. My consultant got back to me after her leave and asked for the contact details of the store I had purchased from. I provided her with the requested details on Monday the 2nd of July 2024. She said she received the details and is busy with validation and that shell give feedback before the end of the day. I followed up the next day because I did not receive any feedback. Today is the 9th of July I followed up on the Santam switch app and that's when I received a call from a different consultant saying that they want to bring in an Assesor, which is okay but it was not even communicated to me when I can expect a call from this Assesor. I am told of an Assesor only after I followed up, why was the Assesor not introduced without me following up? We are going onto week two now and I do not have a laptop and Santam switch seem to be dragging their feet. What is the point of having an item insured if I will have to wait for two weeks to be assisted with a claim? this is quite disappointing service from Santam switch. I purchased my laptop from a reputable black owned apple re- seller and all details I have of the store I have provided. I would advise people to not use Santam switch as their choice of insurance if the device was not directly purchased from istore, because this is the type of treatment you will receive.
This company is working with Momentum . They maliciously issue false reports. My tv stopped working due to continuous load shedding . Assesstech was assigned to come do a assessment on my tv of which they pitched and just took pictures of the tv without diagnosing it or opening the Tv.The report indicated that my TV is unclaimable and damage is due to normal wear and tear .
I bank with FNB both with business and private use. I have been trying to retrieve my latest bank statement on my business account and I’m told there’s nothing they can do. I urgently require my bank statement as it’s required by Cidb for my application. But I’m told I have to wait till the end of the month. It seems like FNB doesn’t take its co operate clients seriously. If this cannot be resolved I will definitely be moving to a new bank .
On the 5th of September 2023 I put in a claim for theft of tools. Today on the 22/09/2023 I recieve a call that my claim has been rejected due to my tools being in the open. I explained that yes I am a electrical contractor I firstly work in the open and I was in possession of the tool box it was just sitting on the buck of the vehicle while I was working in my possession. With the line of work that I do, an employee can not work while they have the tool box in their hand, hence the tools were right beside the tower which my guy was working on. It makes no sense that they don’t cover things when they are in the open whilst in your position.
Very disappointed with MiWay . I have been with MI Way for 8 months now with no claim , I called in to have my policy reviewed and instead I’m told my premium will increase because they had a wrong vehicle description. When I took out the policy I gave MiWay a Vin number which the consultant says she picks a bmw 420i coupe buts it’s actually a grand coup which is a 4 door 4 series . To my knowledge a coupe is more expensive to insure than 4 door vehicle . How is the premium increasing when it’s the same car mine only difference is mine is a 4 door. I’m told there’s nothing they can do and the only option is for me to cancel my policy.
My phone was sold on the 26/04/2023 till this day I haven’t received payment. I was told payment takes 5-7working days but 7 working days have long pasted . I keep calling no one answers , when they answer it’s just empty promises. Can phonetradr make their service both efficient when selling and paying .
Quite surprised with most reviews about naked insurance. My phone recently got damaged and I submitted a claim. They currently have the device with them but they are treating me like a criminal.To my surprise a private investigator was assigned to my claim to conduct validations . It's quite shocking that they go through my previous claims which where done years back to my surprise the claims where approved and paid don't get the relevance to my incident. But anyway it's as good as them looking for whatever loophole to reject your claim. Imagine having a vehicle insured with them if this is what you go through with just a cellphone claim this is the first time I experience such with an insurance company. You are treated like a criminal when claiming with them .
