I submitted a question on the Secure Chat on the FNB app regarding the changing of my address as reflected on my bank statements. I was " assisted" by Lethabo who proceeded to send me the steps on verifying a new device... This is obviously not at all what I had enquired about. What is the purpose of having an app, submitting a question you need an answer to, if your staff don't bother to even READ your question properly?! FNB is the gift that keeps on giving.
Following numerous reviews on HelloPeter, I was contacted by Effie Mtembi from FNB who assisted me with the matter as per the reivew: https://www.hellopeter.com/first-national-bank/reviews/fnb-empty-promises-edd9e980d90a6ca814d99f00ecd8e2d99b9e6421-6083349 However, I received an email from a certain Tiego Moropane on 10 December, to whom I rep**** on the 18th of December, requesting assistance and clarification on a very urgent matter. I have not received any feedback from Tiego since then. The matter pertains to the monthly amount due on the personal loan now that I have moved to a new debt counsellor. This is urgent and I humbly request that Effie kindly contact me.
I received an email from PayCity informing me that I have an outstanding fine. It does however not include any proof of said fine. Only a vehicle registration number date and notice number 92/977393/013/1954891. Where is the photo? There is no email address I can email, the website does not work and there is no actual ticket! I checked on my profile on FinesSA and I have a clean bill, no outstanding fines! What's up with you, Paycity and where did you get my details? Why don't you have any contact details or include any actual proof of a ticket?! In today's world, you should know better.
I refer to this review: https://www.hellopeter.com/first-national-bank/reviews/fnb-is-the-worst-mistake-i-have-ever-made-6072018 I finally received a call from FNB, only after writing the above-mentioned review on HelloPeter. I explained the situation as set out in the above review and was told by the lady, Effie Mtembi, that she will call me again on Thrusday regarding the astronomical interest FNB is charging ME because my (previous) debt Counsellor, paid the money into the wrong account and left me out to dry. I am requesting the interest to be lowered as the mistake is not mine, but I am now the one left to sort out the mess and pay with money i don't have (hence the debt counselling after all!) Needless to say, no call was forthcoming from Effie or FNB. No, FNB, you don't help people, you bury them.
Since my debt councellor has erroneously paid my FNB personal loan installments BACK INTO MY CHEQUE ACCOUNT since Feb to August this year, FNB has ignored my emails I which I am trying to rectify the mistake of Debt Success. Fnb claims I am more than R31 000 in arrears. This is not possible. I am emailing FRB debt review center as well as Debt Success, but I am being ignored. This is making my life hell. FNB, you are supposed to help me, not ignore me. This was not my mistake, but I am being left out to dry. FRB debt review centre has ignored my emails since September I was in touch with Manoko Mulaudzi at FRBDebtreviewcentre@firstrand.co.za but since September, he has not bothered to respond to me.
Due to the fact that my partner passed away intestate, I had appointed an attorney, Petro Voges from Hurter Spies Attorneys in Centurion, to act on my behalf and submit a claim to the Executor of the Estate as appointed by the Master of the High Court. In the three years since the passing of my partner, I have been liaising with the attorney, keeping her abreast of developments as I received updates from the Executor. After almost 3 years, the estate has been finalised. However, my attorney never submitted my claim against the Estate, resulting therein that I have lost all the money I spent on levies, water, etc, paid in good faith until the settlement of the estate. I have sent several emails to the attorney over the last few months as my partner's house was sold in the interim. She does not respond. I have called and whatsapped. She has not acted in my best interest and has left me without defense or claim in this ordeal.
Three years ago my partner passed away suddenly. I have two children from my first marriage and following my partner's death, I could not service my children's student loans and car payment together with all the other expenses. Consequently I signed up for debt counselling with a well known debt counsellor. I stayed with them for about a year, but due to a number of reasons I moved over to Debt Success at the beginning of February this year. They made many promises to help me get out of debt and promised to develop a personal relationship with me. I started receiving messages from FNB, stating that my payments are in arrears. I forwarded these messages to Debt Success. Unbeknownst to me, they ignored the matter. Monthly I would get the messages, forward same to Debt Success. I spoke with them and they informed me that payments are correctly made. I receive a distribution statement from them each month, indicating payments to creditors. FNB appears on the statement, together with the account number. In July I was contacted by collectors, demanding payment from me. I started investigating the matter as nothing was done by Debt Success. I emailed the collectors, FNB and Debt Success in my correspondence all the time. Long story short: Debt Success paid the moneys into my cheque account and not my personal loan account. When I confronted them about it, they said that "the account number was changed". They could not tell me how this came about or who "changed the account". Also, this account number does not match the account number on the statement received from them monthly. They dropped a ball. A big one. And now they avoid me. It is their job to "keep me safe" from creditors and to act in my best interest. They are failing miserably at doing this. I am trying to resolve the matter with FNB and have to now make arrangements to pay the debt AGAIN and settle the arrears which totals more than R17,200. Debt Success is not responding my emails, phone calls or whatsapps. They have thrown me to the wolves. I have no access to them, no help from them to rectify the mistake THEY made. I am obligated to either move over to new debt counsellors AGAIN or to continue paying to Debt Success. However, I don't have the confidence that they will pay FNB into the correct account number! After numerous emails, phone calls, whatsapps, all being totally IGNORED without ANY FEEDBACK or a plan for going forward, or assistance to make arrangements with FNB, I am forced to write this review on HelloPeter, in an attempt to get help and to warn others. They preach Christian values, but have not integrity and no honour. They simply avoid you, they simply ignore you. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. You will be worse off than before.
I have signed up for Afrihost on the 29th of March and paid upfront for a router. The RICA process was never ending and very difficult to manage as each time I was contacted by a different person. Yesterday money was deducted from my account for data which I have not received from them as I don't have the router yet. Upon emailing them to enquire about the deduction and when I can expect the router delivered, they are not responding.
In December last year I paid a deposit to Eezi Move for a planned move to take place at the end of February this year. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the move was cancelled and I asked for a refund of my deposit on 18 February. By 20 February I have not received a response from them and had to email and whatsapp on more than one occasion. Finally I was informed via Whatsapp that it will take 7 to 10 days for the refund to be released into my bank account. By 26 February I requested an update and was informed that the refund was done on the previous day already although I have not received any notification from my bank. Again I requested an update on the 4th of March and only received a response ty the 6th, informing me that the refund was incorrectly allocated and the mistake will be rectified, with no indication of when I can expect said refund. They are extremely difficult to work with and even during the arrangements for the move, they simply don't respond timeously. I am still awaiting a refund.
I have made use of the services of Finfix for approximately a year. During this time I have not requested anything from them. However, recently I needed assistance and they failed to produce a very simple document (letter) for me in time for a very important matter. The lady responsible for releasing this letter to me, failed to respond to my emails timeously and was the letter only delivered the following day, after initially promising to send it by close of business that day. They have also made a unilateral decision to provide me with life insurance although I have provided them with proof that I am already sufficiently covered with another well known and respected company. The money spent on this superfluous life insurance could rather have been spent on paying off debt. Also, there is never one single person appointed to my case. I speak with a different person every time, resulting therein that I need to repeat myself. They do not know what the other is doing and will send me emails from various people after the situation has already been addressed, resulting in confusion. I have decided to move to a different debt manager and have signed the necessary forms. Finfix now refuses to transfer my file as requested and instructed by myself. This is against the law. Three times they have already refused to transfer my file to the new company. They are encroaching upon my rights and instructions, causing delay in the transfer as though they own me and I have no rights. I have threatened legal action and still they refuse to acknowledge my instructions and to transfer my file. They are breaking the law and denying me to have the freedom to decide for myself whom I wish to appoint to assist me in my case. They care about themselves and not the lives of people stuggling to get out of debt! Stay away from FinFix as they will act as though they own you!
