We arrived at ORT on 18 October 2025. Only two kiosks of the ten were open but since it was not busy, it was ok. What struck me was the very, very rude unfriendly service my husband and me got form the personnel. It was such a contrast to Zambie's passport control where service was extremely friendly and going out of their way to be helpful. I wished we could go back.
A while ago I enquired about the different plans available for my ten year old collie. Although she was on the medical aid for a few years the premium increases with her getting older. Sheena was always on the superior plan and after consideration we decided to rather keep her on the plan, but somehow there was a mix up at dotsure. She was accidentally put on a lower plan. When I submitted my claim the response was that she does not qualify for routine care. On the superior plan that is included and weg I enquired about it, Lee-Ann Heideman immediately grasped what was going on and her answer was no worries I will sort it for you. She sort it with comprehension, speed and professionalism. Thank you.
Marine was friendly and professional. He also kept me in the loop with what they were doing. Very convenient to have a mobile mechanic.
We had a wonderful trip to Norway in December 22 on the Hurtigruten ship. We paid everything in advance to the travel agent, Imagine cruising, excursions included. One of the excursions were cancelled by the ship, Hurtigruten due to insufficient snow. According to them, since we paid the agent we would be refunded by them. We notified Imagine cruising immediately. When we were back in SA they made us wait for seven weeks to get our money back. According to them they waited for Hurtigruten to respond to their refund requests And it was only after we contacted Hurtigruten ourselves that things started to happen. Not sure what would have happen if we just left it with Imagine Cruising to sort. I will never use Imagine Cruising again as a travel agent. We dealt mainly with Sharon and Abo. Both of them were always very civil in their correspondence and emails but I will definitely rate the service below average. The trip itself on the Hurtigruten ship were above average though.

We are really frustrated with this Solar power business. Power Africa started off very well when we initially paid the quote. They were eager to install our solar panels but the aftercare is non existing. The installation was on 21 February 2019 and although it works there are a few issues. We called and sent a few Whats-app's' to inform them of our problems we are experiencing with the installation. Specifically to Morgan and Wouter on 22 January and then again on 26 February. Promises were made that somebody from the office will contact us. There was a call from the office to do a survey and ask if are satisfied. My husband said no, we were not because we are waiting for one of the technicians to contact us. It did not happen. Problems: 1. We understood that when the solar battery is empty, it will automatically switch to municipal / escom power. Why then do some of the appliances trip after a few minutes? 2. When the one aircon or swimming pool's heat pump is used, the specific circuit on the DB boards trips, but not the earth leakage or main power. We are not using one of them currently. 3. The power dips, surely the appliances and light bulbs take strain. 4. We also still waits for an electrical certificate. Their service sucks!
1. Reporting lost key 2. Approved by assessor and santam to pay out the lost key on 24 January , amount of approximately R2500. 3. Called underwrite_Santam, on 8 February to confirm it was approved; yes it was and send thorugh to PPS 4. Called PPS - confirm approval of assessor and promise to pay it 5. Called PPS - 15 February - they promise again it will be in my bank account latest 19 February 6. Called 21 February - spoke to five people and promise to be called back by Sandra in an hour to let me know why it is still not in my account - still waiting - two hours later
